Hmm, the clear cartomizer you described sounds to me like it might be a SmokTech Dual Coil. To try that you can simply drip from 2.5 to 3ml of liquid into it...10 drops at a time or so until it's good and wet...screw it on and vape on.
I'm guessing your atomizers are for the eGo T tank system? If so, it won't be easy to drip in those unless you pull one apart.
So...to drip you typically want something like the following:
For the Go Go:
1. A 510 or 306 atomizer and drip tip (note, 510 and 306 drip tips are very different).
2. An adapter to get one of these to screw onto your Gogo (Do these exist?).
For the eGo
1. A 510, 306, or 510 Mega atomizer and corresponding drip tip.
2. Optional: An eGo cone for the 510 atties...tightens the draw slightly and serves as a drip shield.
The 510 vs 306:
They both have 510 threads, like on your eGo battery.
The 510 has the bridge sunk down into a cylinder. This allows you to plug on a cartridge, feeder, or pump system, or pop in a 510/901/808 drip tip. The 306 has an exposed bridge which makes it really easy to prime the atty. Drip right on the bridge, then pop the 306 drip tip on it. As far I know you can't put any kind of cartridge on a 306.
510 Mega atomizers come in type A (cone shaped) and type B (cylinder shaped) are really deep and large. They mate up nicely with an eGo battery and cover the lower threads for a really nice looking PV. These also need their own special drip tip if you want to drip in them. The main benifit to these is if you want to use cartridges that can hold lots of
juice. They're also deep, so the vapor is cooler, and more misty than with regular atomizers.
There are other atomizer types out there, like the 901 (requires an adaptor for either of your batteries). Also the 801...which is very deep, has a tight draw, and nice cool misty type of vape. 801 atties work great with their native carts too! The 302 fits on 801 threads, but is built more like a regular 510/901 atty (not so deep or big around). All of these definately require an adaptor for either of your batteries.
Inkenvape and Nhaler both sometimes offer some interesting hybrid atomizers as well (801 on 510 threads for instance) which you might find interesting someday.
For your first pure dripping set-up, I'd recommend giving a custom 306 atomizer from Inkenvape or Nhaler with a nice 306 drip tip a try. Don't worry about buying an eGo cone for now...it'd just get in the way with a 306 type atty anyway. That combo is a serious 'dripping' machine.
Next comes choosing the resistance for your atty.
If you like hotter vape, consider giving a 2 Ohm LR atty a try. If you like it cooler...2.5ish Ohms should be a good starting place. Going below 2 Ohms on the eGo battery....I'd personally avoid unless you KNOW you like it super hot......and don't might risking messing up your battery (1.5 Ohms can draw a lot of amps).
