Got the Joye eGo Type A Mega Atomizer and the Type A Delrin Drip Tip in mail today. This evening I blew out the oil that is shipped in the ati and put all together and on the eGo-T battery(650 maH, 3.7v), freshly charged. Anyway put about 4-5 drops of 24mg. down the drip tip and fired it up. Well, barely could get much vapor or hit out of it, barely sizzles at all. Took it apart, cleaned it, blew it out again and repeated as at first. Same no go, barely any vapor or hit.

Does it need a higher voltage batt. or what?

Thanks.

I wouldn't think so. It doesn't sound like a battery issue to me. More of an atomizer issue. When you say type A, are you talking about the atty you use with the tanks?

The regular attys for the T have a rod thingey in the middle of the atty. The Type A Mega Atty has a mesh like appearing thing down in the atty. The drip tip end of the Type A Mega atty is a larger diameter than the regular T atty has. The tanks that came with regular T attys are smaller diameter where they plug into the regular attys.

Sorry, then I clearly don't know and don't want to give you any bad advice. I've only used two types of atty; the one that came with my ego and the ego-t atty.

Wait for one of the experts, I don't want to see you ruin your battery.

Can you link to the atomizer you got? Because the tank atomizers are not meant for dripping. They are meant for Ego-T tanks. For dripping I recommend a normal non-T 510 atomizer and 510 drip tip or more advanced drippers sometimes use a Joye 306 atomizer with a 306 drip tip. Aim for something 2.0 to 2.5 ohms if you want a hotter atomizer, 2.5 to 3 ohms if you want a cooler one. Seems to me a mega atomizer (the non tank ones) would just make it harder to aim the juice so it makes it down to the coil.

With a new atomizer you need to get rid of the primer which tastes like machine oil. * Blow out the atomizer, drip 4 drops, wait for that to soak down to the coil, vape that mostly off without inhaling. Repeat from *. Then repeat again and try inhaling. it will take a while after that to break in a new atomizer.

If your atomizer is a normal non-tank atomizer and it was already working fine, and you drip and get no vapor, then you may have flooded it or liquid may have dripped into the the threaded connection so blow out the atomizer, clean up the threaded connection, and try again with fewer drops.

I have an ego type B and the only difference is yours has a cone shape and mine is cylindrical When you say it is fully charged do you mean the light was green on the charger?

Yes mine is cone shaped. Yes the light was green on the charger, also tried on my back up batt. Same results.

I think I might have flooded it pretty badly. I'm blowing it out and getting an awful lot of juice out. I'll let it get dried out and try it again later.

My wife has a regular non T rig and it does the drip thing just fine. I may just get similar atty and drip tip and do it that way. Hers vapes pretty good.

Thanks all.

Good the manual batt alleviates leakage into the batt. I have drowned a few attys myself and had the same problem. You can wrap the atty in a paper towel and stick it into a old sock threaded end towards the toe and swing it in a circle. Sounds strange but it is a quick fix for now. Swing it in a circular motion and let centrifugal force clean it out for you.

Good idea. The thing is working good now, flavor is improving.
Thanks

The process has a name but it alludes me at this moment. Just so you know it is not my idea. I use a draw string bag instead of a sock but the sock works in a pinch. I also dry burn my atty's but it can be tricky at first. I will add a link that explains it shortly. Anyway good to hear you are vaping. Relax and enjoy.
