That's dependent on your battery's charge and the resistance of your coil. A micro coil with a cotton wick will generally eat up juice faster than most standard clearos/cartos. If you're getting more vapor, the chances are you're using more juice.

Another thing with cotton is that it disperses the juice equally throughout the wick, so you're going to have juice sitting at the ends of the wick that can't really do much. With silica I think the juice is drawn toward the coil by the heat, but I could very well be wrong about this.

You really need a multimeter. The fact that the guy at the store just built you a .9ohm coil and let you leave is just irresponsible.

Mechanical mods are not for beginners, especially people that are new to RBAs. It is imperative that you know the resistance of a coil before firing it on a mech. What if your coil gets loose? Or goes bad?

I agree entirely... You need to do some research on resistance. Sub ohm coils with the wrong batteries can be dangerous. I have seen mechanical mods become smoke bombs in peoples hands due to bad wiring and not checking coils prior to use. If you don't Check the resistance your playing with fire.... Literally. I would get an ohm checker or multi meter and in the beginning use coils above 1 ohm. Once you get the hang of it then build what you want. Find the right battery for what resistance level you are building to be safe. Good luck and happy vaping.
