They are a complete joke. I bought the menthol disposables one time. They promised over 350 puffs. My battery failed within 4 hours and I probably only got 50 puffs or less. I am not one to put up with getting ripped off , so I literally took a lighter to the atomizer/cartridge (the disposables come in 2 pieces , not 3) and inhaled. It worked.

Well a month later, I was stupid enough to give that brand another shot (its the only brand available in my area that doesn't need to be bought online). Only this time I bought the 40 dollar starter kit. I set it all up, and inhaled. No vapor came out. I thought it was the battery. I got back to my dorm and noticed the battery was working. It was fully charged. Nothing was coming out. Yes, I removed the "fake cartridge' and installed the real one correctly and with the atomizer properly installed. Nothing. I even used the other battery, still nothing. Its obviously the atomizer. It won't heat up at all.

This brand is a joke. The second time that this brand has failed me in a row. I sure hope I can find the e-cigarettes that aren't like this. 40 dollars for nothing. The last time I bought a defective object from a store was on my 8th birthday over a decade ago. Yet I have bought 2 defective items from the same brand recently. Does anyone else experience similar difficulty with the 21st century brand ? Is there any way to get this atomizer working. I have tried everything. It is completely dead. It doesn't even change temperature. I figure if it were overly soaked with the liquid, it would at least get warm. This atomizer isn't even changing temperature. Its cold as a rock.

It could be the center post of the battery (look at the part where the atomizer screws on) has gotten pushed in somehow and isn't making contact. That happens with almost every e-cigarette, no matter what brand. Try pushing up on the center post lightly. I have to occasionaly pry mine up so it makes contact. If it's too far down, it doesn't make contact with the atomizer and it won't get hot. Where are you getting this ecig from? Gas station?

The advice is good for a crappy PV like 21st but I have never had to do that on the better PV's.

I bought the disposable one first and it was crap. It came with a cartomizer that was pretty well dried out. Then I bought the $40 kit with the atomizer and cartridges and it was a night and day difference. It got me off the cigs. I think I went through 4 additional packs of the cartridges (they cost me 8 bucks for a 5 pack). I used it until my order from a vendor came in with my "real" supplies. But honestly I can't say anything bad about the 21st kit. It worked. Sure it wasn't as powerful or yummy as the stuff that replaced it, but it kept me off the cigs. It still works now, and sits in a drawer for emergency supplies.

Sounds like you just got a bad atty. Believe it or not they offer a 1 year warranty according to their website. So it wouldn't hurt to contact them and see if they'll replace the atty. Even if you just toss it in a drawer to keep for back up like I do with mine, you've got nothing to lose by contacting them.

Yep, sounds familiar. I first tried one of their disposables, and actually liked it a lot. I then bought the $40 kit and had bad luck with that. The evil "burnt taste" very soon after first using it. Even new cartridges had the burnt taste. I returned the kit for a refund. If you can't return your kit, contact them about a warranty remedy. It was apparent to me that I needed a higher quality kit, but I wish I knew what juice they used, I liked the taste and vapor production of it.

I bought one to start also. The same 40 dollar kit, as well as an express kit. The atty I had worked, just didn't last too long. They do make cartomizer for it, 3 for about 6-7 bucks which work better, and use same battery. I found the taste nauseating so ended up blowing juice out with bicycle pump and refilling myself with some better juice. All in all they did the trick to get me started, the 40 bucks could have been much better spent tho. If you just got it recently I'd try to take it back for a refund. If not try the cartos for it, they work much better.

From all I've read the thread size for the atty/cartos are not compatible with any other size ecig.

I agree the quality is poor. I'm just starting out. Bought a kit for way to much at the local mall on Saturday. Told me I could use it then just charge it at night. Charger made a squealing noise and never charged the battery. Back to the mall Sunday, new charger. Monday worked for 2 puffs in the morning and then that was it. Would blink 15 times when trying to charge. Back to the mall Monday, new battery. Monday night put on charger over night, LED blinks 15 times then charger cycles on and off again. Back to the mall Tuesday, new battery, mini this time and new set of carto's. This morning not charged, no vapor, just blinks when you try to use it, on charger just blinks 15 times and gets warm. I'm going back today and get my money back. Will buy a starter kit on line.

Buy one of these:Liberty Flights Riva 510 Lite Bundle Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510

riva1100.jpg

Click on the 20% off icon at the top of the page and the price becomes $29.99. You get two Riva (ego style) 750mah batteries, two atomizers, a cone, a charger, and a nice magnetic catch box.

The Riva/Ego batteries can use almost any cartomizer (one piece) or other accessory talked about on this board. Adapters are available to match other company's atomizers, also. Recommended.

A box of 5 Boge cartomizers is only $8 and will give you great taste and vapor. They refill through the mouthpiece after popping off a silicone seal. After you fill, let them sit for 30 minutes, blow out excess, and vape.

At this point, online is the reliable way to order Ecigs and juices. Check out the supplier listings to make sure they are approved.

I agree, you'd be much happier I think and more inclined to make 'the switch' from the nails. The batteries will be a bit bigger but it's not really that noticeable in your hand once you use it a couple days. I went with a regular 510 after the 21st century thinking I wanted something close to the size of a real cig, after 2 days of short batt. life still ended up buying something similar to what dave recommended, now I'm happy. To each their own tho, everyone's taste is different.
