I work for a company that takes the orders for the radio ads for these "free trials" and there is absolutely NOTHING free about them. You have to pay 69.95 plus the initial 89 for the first 5 prefilled carts with the automatic shipments every month at the same price of $89. If you try to call and cancel you are on hold for about an hour. I thought the concept was great but wanted to do a little research. Thank goodnes I found this forum because I was completely turned off with the shady practices of this particular supplier.

WOW - Glad I found this forum! I was thinking of trying to quit analogs, and remembered getting all these e-mails a while back about "free trials" for e-cigs. Thought I may try them in my attempt to quit. Was doing a google search to find out what brands/types/etc were available, and stumbled on this thread and forum. Glad I didn't try the free trial.

After a bunch of research in the forum, especially the 6 part series in the library, I just ordered an eGo starter kit from RMV. Should be here tomorrow. I hope so. Down to my last half pack of analogs, and don't want to buy any more!

Great forum...I'll let you know how it goes!

A friend of mine has vaped for years, a while back, I thought I would try it so I picked up one of those "Disposables" at a convenience store. HATED IT!! It was awful.. and I thought no way is this going to make me quit. Then my friend told me to try his, which was an EGO 510... Totally different. In fact he had a couple of different flavors that I tried out, and what a world of difference. I think it sucks that you have to shell out $80 (approx) to get your first decent starter kit, and I think disposables and "Trials" can really turn people off. Luckily, places like ECF contain a wealth of information and can hopefully change the opinions of people like me who thought vaping was ......ed after trying a disposable!

Thing is with so many variables involving vaping, HV LV %VG %PG flavors low V with LR atties/carto's etc, I'm afraid most people will give up before doing His/Her research and knowing there's a sweet spot for everyone... what brought me to do my research and end up in this site was exactly one of those radio advertisment, after 2/3 days reading here I decide to go with what most people consider a safe bet for starters and bought a Ego, I followed the veterans advice and got extra atties/carto's/juice etc when my order arrived I was ready to quit analogs but to my disapointment everything tasted awfull and I almost gave up on vaping entirely, but decided to come back here and find out what was wrong since so many people were happy with their experience, after more research I found it turn out the 3 tobacco flavors that came with the order gives me the headache and I also burnt the LR atties wick also carto's are not for me, placed another order for DIY stuff and found that I quite enjoy half of the flavors I prep, so it's all about due dilligence and trial and error. Sad thing is that untill a big company steps up to take the lead, lots of people will fall prey of misleading companies and never know what They're missing.

Haven't the time to read all 50 pages, so I apologize in advance if this has already been covered:

I've spent the $50 or so to "kit out" a few friends that I thought would take to vaping, but didn't. Sometimes they gave me the kits back, sometimes not. So now, I try to keep 5 of the 510 clone (Q-Cig) disposable kits on hand to give out to smokers who show an interest. These are of a good enough quality and recharge long enough (much more than the "at least 3 times") to give someone the chance to see if vaping is right for them.

At around $10 each, I think of it as a small price to pay to maybe save someone's life. Just my :2c:!

Exactly. My cable was out for a week and I saw an ad on over-the-air local tv. Luckily, I'm annoyingly analytical and found this site before calling. I just got a 510 kit today and a bottle of juice. So far, so good.
Don't forget to buy extra atty's to keep in stock and keep the atty's in tip top shape to prolong their use :)
