Got sooooo close to doing a "free" trial just 2 days ago! Lucky for me I always read the fine print, and they wanted over $100 after just a 14 day "trial" and as you said, the 14 days may begin with purchase date or at least shipping date so you really have no time to actually try the product before you are in it for the c-note and beyond. I am so happy this forum and this thread in particular are here to save us newbies from the sharks. There is so much good info here and so many reputable, reasonably priced suppliers that get linked here! Thanks for getting the "beware" ball rolling! ~ Paiz
I almost tried on of these free trials. A good friend of mine warned me in time though. They charged his bank card twice before he knew it. It took about a month and a half for him to get his money, and I'm suprised he got it back at all. At least his mistake helped me dodge a bullet. Thanks Marcus
they got my buddy's dad, just this week. he is 77 years old and will not listen to reason, he is excited as can be to get it. we tried and tried to make him understand he is gonna get taken.....we all have mods, and egos, so he thinks he is getting something great.....ughhh he is stubborn and set in his ways, guess he is gonna have to learn this lesson the old fashioned way......sigh
They will hit him for $110 after trial period (14 Days) then every month they will debit $79 for 10 cartridges. You might tell him to read terms and conditions. I did all of this before I found this site and I still did not go back and read the terms and conditions because I ordered Blu from a legitimate site. He will have to cancel his card and report it as compromised. Now I have ordered an Epower from gotvapes and am on track. Just a $110 lesson that is hard to swallow.
It is such a shame that there have to be scammers out there - I'm glad that I found ECF first because I probably would have fallen for that scheme myself...

I have a friend who's dad made that mistake. He just had no idea about the auto charge he would have every month.. It really sucks that they would do that to people and it seems like its just for them to make a quick buck!! Now my friends dad is smoking again because he refuses to try to order again from anyone.. I have done all I can to help him out but he is a older guy and is stuck in his ways.... Just my thought...
I have the same situation, me and my mother ordered and she was going to buy mine but it would only let you do one transaction per card. I went ahead and used my card and we both got nailed. She feels the same way and does not want to fool with ecigs, so I am going to have to order her an Ego or something when I get my new card in. We both had to cancel our cards. You can call the number to cancel the monthly charge but they say call back there computers are down or some other BS story. It is just easier just to cancel you card and move on, what a screwed up deal, it is turn a lot of people off about ecigs. I am over it now I hope, just glad the FBI did not show up at my door because of what I had threatened that SOB with. I rarely fly off the handle but some thing move me to that point and that was one of them.
Great fair warning! I see a lot of these commercials on when I'm up late at night and they depress me. I understand that all vendors have a right to try to make a profit, but rip-off artists obviously are no good for the vape-ing community. That is one reason I just joined ECF. This is a great source of information concerning where and how to buy ecig equipment without being ripped off or scammed. Caviat Emptor - Buyer Beware. Great post...
