Do SmokeTip cartridges really last as long as 1.25 packs of regular cigs?

Hi. I'm looking to buy my first e cig and so far the best one seems to be SmokeTip because some reviews say that they have the longest lasting prefilled cartridges but i don't know if this is true in real experience. I smoke 2 packs of regular (analog) cigs a day and don't want to have to use more than two cartridges a day. If you know of the longest lasting prefilled cartridges, please let me know! Thank you!
P.S. I don't want to use my own e-liquid to start out.

No, they do not. They probably hold .5 ml of juice. Most people vape around 3 ml per day.

There is no real translation between cartos= packs of cigs.

PV's are excellent but it's not as efficient at delivering nicotine as cigarettes. You just have to vape until you don't crave cigs. How much that is, is very individual.

What kind of a smoker are you? How long have you smoked, how much, type of cig?

My mom started with a Smoke Tip. It's a good way to introduce yourself to vaping but draw is a bit hard with a Smoke Tip and cartos and batteries don't last long.

There are better pv's out there but it really depends on what your looking for and how much you want to spend. If you don't mind spending $59. to give vaping a whirl, it's not a bad pv. If you want to continue vaping, I doubt if you'll stay with this pv very long.

If you smoke 2 PAD that's about like vaping 3-5ml of juice a day. A normal cartomizer (it's not a cartridge) holds about 1ml of juice.
So at best, a carto is about like 1/2 a pack. On the other hand, a cartridge is about like one cigarette.

    cartridge
A cart plugs into an atomizer (3 piece unit)

    cartomizer
A carto has the heating element inside it (2 piece unit)

Companies that have no clue, and sell low end PV's at high prices normaly will call a carto a cart.
For the same $59.00 an eGo is a lot more for your money.

"REINDEERBALLS" for 12% off, that would make the eGo kit $52.75

Hi, kblush500. I have a Smoke Tip and I actually like it. One of my batteries was defective and I emailed them and was told to return the battery and it will be replaced. I appreciated the way it was handled.

I do most of my vaping while on the computer, so today I ordered a pass through from Smoke Tip.

I own two Blus and a KGO and honestly, I enjoy the Smoke Tip as much as anything. We are all different, and bottom line, even with all the wonderful, helpful advice to be found on this forum, it all comes down to personal choice and what works best for you. Good luck and vape on.:vapor:

How long would you say one of the cartomizers last?

My Mom loved the juice in the cartomizers. I tried to find the same juice everywhere and couldn't. Customer service is good. She sort of liked it. She used it maybe a couple weeks but buying cartos for it was getting old. I must be a different kind of smoker because I gave myself a headache trying to inhale on that thing. It just wasn't for me I guess.

It's hard to say exactly. One carto seems to last through about 2-3 battery charges. I vape til the battery konks out and then recharge and go again. I also still use my Blu and now I have a new toy, my KGO

I am a wuss vaper. I tried one of my Resurrectors on the KGO and they are just too much for me. I ordered 3.0ohm single coils from Brent to see if that will work. I can't take anything above 12 mg nic.

I could probably vape air and be happy.

Thank you all for your great responses!

swedishfish - I meant compared to all prefilled cartomizers. I've been smoking for about 25 years and i smoke about 2 packs a day of Pyramid Red 100's or Maverick 100's. I'm willing to spend more money if i can find what I'm looking for. I'd ideally like to find something that contains about 3ml of juice without having to fill it myself. I'm not expecting there to be anything out there like that but i don't know. I guess filling is no big deal, but if I wonder if I would need to refill a cartridge more than once a day to get 3ml of juice if i bought the Joye 510 that someone mentioned. I don't even know if i'm using the right terminology in my questions, but to make it clearer, i would like to find a way to vape 3 - 5 ml juice a day with the least amount of work involved since I'm a beginner. Any more advice would be much appreciated!!

tj99959 - Thank you for suggesting the Joye 510! You said, "If you smoke 2 PAD that's about like vaping 3-5ml of juice a day." What is PAD? Thank you in advance!

No offense, but you are definitely not the "typical" vaper. You are definitely on the very light side.

Any company that states that their cartos are equal to over a pack of cigarettes - RUN AWAY!!!!

Rule of Thumb: the more it looks like the real thing, the worse the performance.

At least get a model that will provide you 5+ hours on a charge.

My smoking history is similiar to yours. Long time smoker, maybe 2 PAD (packs a day) and I started with a Joye Ego. I purchased cartomizer, filled them with my own juice and it worked for me.

An ego is bigger than the Smoke Tip and it's a manual battery. Cartomizers hold about 1 ml when you fill them yourself and go up in size to almost 5 ml. But you really could fill a couple of cartomizers with juice for the day.

I guess what I'm asking is do you want to start with a small battery model and purchase prefilled cartomizers?

If so, there are several KR808 kits out there.

Smoke Tip, Volt by Smokeless Image, Vapor 4 Life, Bloog. All are KR808's and have prefilled cartomizers. A pack of 5 prefilled cartomizers cost around $8-$10. You can buy empty cartomizers and a 30 ml bottle of juice for around $12-$18 and fill them yourself.

Batteries last around 1 hour per 100 mah of continous vaping. Mini batteries last around 3-4 hours.

If your interested in more information on bigger battery models, many of the members here will be happy to give you information about them.

    E-cigarette - V4L Vapor4Life - Vapor King - best e-cig - smoking alternatives!

An ego battery, the smaller size is a 650 mah battery. You can purchase one at liberty Flights for about $30-$35. But you will need to purchase cartomizer and juice and fill them yourself. There really aren't many prefilled cartomizers for the ego.

Crop Duster carries the echo and go go. Both are big battery KR808s with big cartomizers. I believe they are manual and automatic. I don't have any experience with them. I do have some echo-e batteries (1300 mah 4.2v) and echo-e cartomizers. They're a 510. I do like them.

ECHO KITS : Cropduster901!, Home of the B-52

I don't want to give too much info and confuse you further. There is also an e-power (cheaper batteries) KGO, IGO.

I also have a 510 (small) and like that.

tj99959 - I just watched a YouTube video review on the J-tank and it sounds really good! i still don't know enough about that and how you fill it with juice but I'll find out! I'm learning a lot today! You could help me if you told me what I needed besides the J-tank and juice to be ready to vape if you have the time!

wv2win - I was fascinated to read that I am not a typical vaper and that i am on the very light side! I felt like i was for sure on the opposite end of the spectrum because i smoke so much! Wow! I only learned about vaping yesterday so I'm a very new newb! Can you please tell me how much juice a typical vaper uses in a day or however you would describe their usage? I am thinking that it would cost so much money to vape more than 5ml a day!

swedishfish - I really appreciate the time you have taken to help me! I've pretty much given up the idea of going with the small battery models with prefilled cartomizers because i would no way be able to afford to use at least 6 a day for 3 to 5ml juice!! tj99959 mentioned the J-tank which looks promising so I'm looking into that! Yes, i would love to find out more about the bigger battery models from anyone who would like to share their knowledge with me!

There are many options- I'll just post a few.

    Hoosier KGO 3.7 volt 1100 mah battery & 1.7 cartomizers (51.50)
KGO 1100 mAh 2 battery kit
5 pack of 1.7ohm single coil XL cartomizer by Smok Tech

LF Riva Deluxe bundle 3.7 volt 650 mah battery & boge cartomizers (38.00) + mains charger
Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510

E-Power Inexpensive replaceable batteries- comes with cartos & juice Free shipping (never used this) (57.50)
    Crystal Clear Vaping

All are great. That's the price with 1 box of cartomizers (5). I'd probably purchase an addition box of cartomizers .

    Now- on to juice~

This is just a sample. There may be better prices, and there are tons of great suppliers out there. Just because I posted them doesn't mean they are the best, although I've purchased from CCV and LF and like them. Almost all of the registered suppliers on this board are great. This is just so you could review a few pvs.
