I must say devil fish some of your threads are a bit hard to work out but when I read them a few times I get the idea. But I have no idea what you are on about here.
I've had that with my usb-cigarette from e-Cig, devilfish... as it turned out, there was a wire loose inside the cig; only when holding it in a certain way it still worked (for a while). It could be, that something similar is wrong with yours.
Another possibility just might be, that you have almost flooded your battery with e-liquid? If you turn a piece of absorbing paper into a very small tight end, put that into the top hole in the battery, and then hold your batt upside down... does the paper then get wet?
(If this is the case, your battery will have to leak out, upside down, and put in a warm place hoping the switch doesn't get stuck while drying... and drying it could take a few weeks...)
And a last possibility I can think of, is if what you mean to say is: the battery doesn't work when I have it screwed on all the way.. but it does work if I loosen it a little bit. In that case, first thing to try is to clean the contacts real good... both the threads of your battery and the atomizer; and also the flat pieces in the middle of both. If you get out a lot of black-/greenish stuff, then that could have been your problem.
