Do you ever go back to regular cigs?

My vaporizer arrived on February 2nd. Later in the day, at work, I went out for one analog with my friend. It was more for the ritual we had of going out for a smoke than needing to have one. Since then, I haven't smoked one cigarette, nor had a craving to.

I had smoked loose tobacco in a can since the '80s when I switched from factory cigarettes. I'd just bought a new 6-ounce can on the Saturday before my vaporizer arrived. I've smoked three cigarettes out of it, and the rest is just sitting there. Not tempting me, but it's there. I need to find someone to give it to, but I don't know anyone who smokes loose tobacco. I'm thinking of going downtown to where the guys line up to get temporary jobs and giving it to one of those folks at random. Got any better ideas?

I've found the Gold and Silver RY's from ITC Vapes to be sans-sweet, and pretty accurate to what smoke/a cigarette tastes like. In particular, it's like a Camel Turkish Royal.

+1

The Turkish and Silver RY4 from ITC are excellent! Especially for those
of us that rode the Camel hump.
Also, Boba's Bounty from Alien Visions is always on hand.

Happy to say I am cigarette free. Forty plus years of cigarettes had taken a toll on me. I vape all day from one of three Reo Grands at 6 of nic.

I still have a cigar once in awhile. Usually, I rationalize it as a celebratory smoke. I know, that is lame but hey, I was smoking at least a pack a day along with anywhere from one to three cigars. Sometimes, the nic would kick in and I would have to get some sugar in me to help subside the nic poisoning. I still have a large humidor and even a humidified tupperware type storage system.

Before I started vaping, my smoking budget was right at ten grand a year. Now, I have cigars that will probably become part of my estate. Have to laugh when I read vaping is so expensive. Who knows, I may even break into my stash and smoke a fine cigar produced in a place I am not even allowed to visit just to celebrate the fact that I have cut my smoking bill by probably 99% since finding my personal vape nirvana.

Been cigarette free for 3 months now from my 2pad habit over 40 years. Few days ago daughter left a pack on the table ... Same brand used to smoke. I tried one, thinking I'd probably be repulsed by the taste & smell. Couldn't have been more wrong, twas the best tasting cig I've ever had :( Put it out after few puffs, chain vaped, and made a mental note to NEVER do that again!

Not on purpose.... Wife still smokes.... Every once in a while, I'll accidentally (habit) grab one... First thought every time is, crap burnt the wick, second thought is, these things taste bad, third, where is my mod? Sometimes I'll finish the smoke, most times I don't. Either way I don't give it another thought. I didn't quit smoking, in the first place, I just replaced the cigarettes with an E-cig, to save money. Kinda the same way some go from name brand smokes to cheap generic or hand rolled. About 6 months of vaping and smoking side by side, then one day I noticed.. It had been weeks since I had a smoke.... So, I tried one and EEEEWWWWW.

Just like the Drinker, the urge may always be there and muscle memory is a "female dog" to erase.

I tried Quitting with Cig a like, years ago, didn't work.. Was reintroduced to the E-cig and the EGO battery mods a few year after that. Found the battery last summer in a drawer, wondered about using it for what it was intended. Bought a Protank starter kit and some "Tobacco" Ejuice, while at the Cigarette store buying a carton. I didn't have the charger for the other batt, so the kit was the cheapest way to get a tank and charger, Worked out, Wife still uses that tank. I still use 1 of those original batteries as my backup to my Mod.

Heh, I'm the same way.. Most people seem to be under the impression that going back to cigarettes is hard after vaping for so long. It really isn't, I could imagine slipping back into the habits I used to have.

At this point, it's almost like I'm too invested (emotionally and monetarily) in vaping to go back. I've done calculations, and I was spending ~$4-5k per year on cigarettes, and in the year that I've been vaping, I've spent just barely $1000 (on everything from juice to all sorts of devices), and it's noticeable. Now, I haven't been putting all that cigarette money into a savings account necessarily, but on my last trip to Vegas I had about 1k more than I usually do for "doesn't matter if you lose this"-money, and that's something I'd like to experience again.

Beyond that, how silly would I look with all these devices and this vast collection of finely-steeped e-juice if I was just smoking cigarettes anyway.
