My cardioligest is supportive of my vaping as a means of stopping smoking. Even if he wasn't, I would still be doing it, because I am not nearly as short of breath as I was when smoking analogs.
For me, vaping irratates my lungs somewhat during the transition period, but once I stop the analogs, that goes away and there is no irritation at all. When I go to bed at night, I am breathing a heck of a lot better.

My Dr was very supportive in my change. He even tells other patients about my success
in quitting. Blood pressure medicine doseage has been cut down by 50%.
As far as feeling better......you just cannot believe the difference!!
I breath better, coughing at night has stopped completely, I can make the walk to the
mailbox and back without having to have a cot for rest at the halfway mark....and smells
that I had forgotten about are back.
I can now smell a smoker from 1/2 way across WalMart now!!

I'm new but I have to jump in here! I went from 2 pack a day chain smoker to a chain vaperor in about 3 weeks now. Here is the things I have figured out: I didn't realize how much I coughed, I didn't realize how much I couldn't breathe just walking across the house, dang food tastes so different, my blood pressure is down alittle, my chest doesn't feel as tight, I have a ton more energy, and mentally I have noticed I'm a bit more cheerful. Why? I don't know. After smoking for 20 years, I never thought I would ever have a chance to stop, maybe that's it, I'm honestly not sure. But what I do know is vaping has changed the way I think about smoking like never before and has given me back things I didn't know I was missing. No doctor, patch, pill, or gum has ever came close before. I'm more aware of my triggers and not completely off analogs yet, but I can honestly look you in the eye and tell you that I have hope that I have never had before.

Ditto!! We read and hear it all of the time on this forum. I was one that didn't pay attention and it took me months to figure out why I was having weight gain, sore muscles, constantly feeling tired, etc...I wasn't the least bit thirsty. I didn't have any obvious signs that I wasn't drinking enough water at first.
But don´t forget to drink enough!!!

Other than that, I feel 100% better since I switched to vaping:)

I nominate this as the best first post ever!

3+ months and I feel GREAT. GP, Dentist and Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon support my vaping and encourage me to vape in their offices. Surgeon has also asked me to come with him to visit a patient who has smoked related issues and explain the Ecig. If he's open to it I plan to loan him my Provari and juices/ gear.

Personally I no longer discuss anything with my doc. He feels chantix is the only way to go.......even if you want to kill yourself :)

However it's been just over a year since my last cig, and I feel better than I have in 20+ years. I no longer cough all night long, or get winded walking from my front door to my pick up. I don't weeze, I can laugh from deep down in my gut without coughing fits and can take these amazingly deep breaths. It's changed my life and has given me hope for a better future.

First E-cig on 10/14/11. Last Analog 10/17/11 (was only 1 that day since my disposable died while at work, really last analog before that was 10/15/11). I have had trouble finding the best battery/cartomizer combo, but I think I have got it all figured out now. I have not felt this good my entire adult life. Breathe easier, get over colds faster, stopped coughing, can taste and smell things I never could before (not always a good thing), more energy, and so on. I have not talked to my Dr about the change yet, but I venture to guess he will be pleased. My wife is especially happy since I don't stink anymore. Does anyone else wonder how they ever did that stinky smoking? That is the biggest thing for me, the smell of someone else's smoke makes me want to lose my last meal! I realize now how much that smell lingers and clings to people. I can walk in my house and smell if my mother-in-law has been there, even though she goes outside to smoke when visiting. I LOVE not smelling like smoke anymore!

You're probably best off just going to another doctor..I rarely go to the doctors myself and don't really listen much when I do. They sometimes want to put you on drugs with horrible side effects. I eat what I want and live the way I want and don't necessarily care if I live a long life..I'm more concerned with living an enjoyable life than being unhappy and living long. Quality can be better than quantity :)

I went to ecigs not for my health but because my state is turning Nazi and taxing cigs up to almost $10 a pack..glad I did though because I enjoy them even more than I did smokes..although I still have the occasional smoke because I want to not out of need :)
