Do you find it irritating to use a passthrough ecig because of the cord?

Somewhere out there
I just got an ego passthru and it works great. Has a long cord and I unplug it when it is charged and use it like a regular ego then. It is really handy because this is an area away from my normal vape area and other PV's. So I have a back up PV that is a passthru and can be used independently as well. Plus I don't have to drag my other PV's around to this area. Works great! bnrk

I kinda do actually, it's the tethered feeling I guess. Now I got this 4 port usb hub with a long wire and that has improved the issue, but I still don't like it. I have 2 passthroughs now but I hardly use them, even though I should to lenghten the life of my regular batteries, but I just don't like using them that much. They WORK fine, it's just the being stuck in that spot part and the fiddling with the wire part....

This is the cute usb hub I got for xmas, you have to see this lol: USB HubDog Won’t Poop or Pee on Your PC - Technabob

No problem.

All I did was open the battery case take out the battery, then cut the end of a usb cable soldered the black wire to the end cap and fed the red positive to a button I bought at radio shack then to the connector. I spent a whooping $1.50 for a pt, keep in mind I had the usb cord and the battery so nothing to buy but the button.

Also I did drill a hole in the bottom cap just big enough for the cord.

I use the boge leo from E Cig Arsenal - I don't mind the pt battery, if fact, I prefer that option. The boge leo's battery life is extremely long - I only charge it once a day and that is usually overnight when I am sleeping. I have never ran this battery dead yet. Because of this, this battery might be better for you if you don't like being tethered to a computer. I don't mind, especially if I am on the computer working.

One more thing - to preserve my battery when i am not using it, this boge leo has an on/off button. This works well because when it is in my purse or pocket, it does not get accidentally activated. So if you don't like to be tethered, try this model - with it's long battery life, you won't have to worry about it anyway.
My personal supply consists of all boge leo products. I use both the XXl cartomizers and the atomizers and love them both! Not a fan of any of the tank models on the market - too much flavor distortion and leaking. Good luck!

phills02 - I haven't even had my first vaping experience yet! I'm waiting for my Reo to come in, so I'm really excited and a little nervous! I so much want to really like it and be able to be off cigarettes for good! :)

Just remember the hard part is finding a juice and right nic level that's right for you. The big thing is don't give up, I have tried prolly over 40 juices before I found a few that I liked and gave it a go. I at this point am not fully off analogs yet but I only do maybe 3 a day where before I was a pack and a half a day. I don't even like the 2 or 3 I smoke they taste nasty lol but still do them. Also been a newport smoker for 17 years and was in search of the perfect menthol well guess what, the juice I like the most right now is not even menthol, its RY4 from High Desert Ecigs go figure.

The best advice I have found here is, it is going to take a little time to find your right mix so don't be discouraged just keep paving forward tell you do.

kabonk - That's some amazing vaping equipment! Wow! You must have a great vaping experience! :)

xxDznutzxx - Thank you for telling me not to give in to discouragement and that eventually I'll find the right mix! Thanks also for sharing your experience with smoking with me! I just posted this on another thread so i hope you can read it and give me your opinion! P.S. Down to 2 or 3 cigarettes is AWESOME!!! I know you'll get off them altogether one day!

"For years I've smoked one pack a day of cigarettes but over the last two months I've been smoking two packs a day because things in my life changed and I find myself smoking a lot more. That's why it's so important that I stumbled upon ecigs, not only is 2 packs a day bad for my health, I also can't afford to keep that up monetarily! The reason I bring that up is because I wanted to tell you about the nicotine level I plan on vaping on. I bought all my ejuices at 6mg. The reason is because I figured roughly that if I vape about 3 packs a day worth, I'll still be under my one pack a day 24mg. (I fully understand that comparing cigarettes to vaping is not an exact science by far.) I really don't want to vape more nicotine than i was smoking. I really hope that this will work and I won't feel unfulfilled all the time. If I do I may have to go up to 12mg and vape less. Thanks for listening!! "

I don't feel like a pt should be a portable device. Electronicstix.com has a simple 5v 510 pt for $10. If you are at your computer a lot it is an essential item to have. On top of that if you have never tried a high voltage mod it is a very very inexpensive way to see if high volt gaping is right for you.

A lot of people say it is not a true 5v pt but straight out of my computer I get 4.9 volts(which is 4.4 or so under load).

Its cheap and works great.

I heard today that you really risk your computer if you use the USB port to power a 5V passthrough so I'm confused.
