for a genny the Kraken has alot of airflow....you might look at the nextera it may give you a bit more airflow, but gennys as a rule are a MTL vape or a restricted lung vape.
Would much rather explore the option with one of my other rta/rda honestly. Not much a fiddler myself.

for what it's worth...I belonged to the Karlson vaping accessories group and the atties most people were building on were the Regen alot of VWM gennys, the In'ax, and alot of the russian gennys.these guys also use a different type of mesh for their wicks and they use their mesh cut on a diagonal

I'm thinking it's ME and RAYON for LIFE.

There may be better things that come along, but sometimes something is just Good Enough Forever and Rayon is just one of them for me.

lol....that's why a few of us dinasours still vape gennys on mesh, nothing has come along to beat them....we just haven't come across a style of vaping that delivers the quality of flavor that mesh wicks do....they aren't as simple as the limp wicks, but they are worth the trouble to us.

Thinking the shipping cost might determine that.
yeah the Karlson stuff is a pain in the ... to get a hold of Paypal doesn't deal with the Ukraine so I get mine from a group buy headed by an American dude I haven't bought stuff from Vaper's breath, but they are in russia and I think paypal does deal within russia.

I'm not saying you are wrong but "never assume" happens to be a motto of mine.

You aren't talking Ready wick are you, the ceramic mesh?

Just a thought, otherwise you seem to have something rarer than hen's teeth in the US anyway.

I would probably vape it, but that's me. Always out for adventure even if I KNOW it's a bad idea. I'm not saying it is, mind you, but I once added some really cheap cooking burgundy to my vape, to see. It actually tasted pretty good (although it did caramelize on my coil almost instantly.) I had to give it up, however, it made the entire house smell like really bad curry.

Spooky almost but probably for the best. I have ended my AlCoHol experiments and am back to good old normal elquids, etc.

It looked a lot like wire to me, not ceramic. There were some pretty good close up photos. It was very flexible and had a weave pattern very similar to thin rope or cord.
I don’t know squat about rediwick though. It wasn’t being used for wicking though. It was the coil. The heating element.

I've tead through this thread a couple of times and my interest/curiosity is piqued ... but could you just take a wee minute to bring the Old Guy sitting in the corner with his pint up to speed?

What is a "genny"?

Do you make coils with this stuff? If so do you wick it with something else? Do you use it as a wick? Do you just drip direct onto it?

Pardon my lamentable iggerance here, but the thread is genuinely interesting to me and I'd like to know more.

Short for genesis-style atomizer, originally Genisis (GENIal SImpler Siebdampfer translated to “ingeniously simple mesh steamer”) invented by a German vaper Raidy, also a member of ECF in the past. It used stainless steel mesh. I found Raidy's old thread here, but, unfortunately, all of his original pictures are gone--what a shame, really.

All my mods part1

But I also found this--this will give you an idea what a "genisis" atty was:

Where did Mesh Tanks Come from for genesis style tanks.

It's actually beeen fascinating researching all this - so thanks to the OP for posting about the topic.

Having read up about these Genisis atomisers, they have a certain appeal to me - one of the suppliers I have dealt with back in the UK does stock them - I suspect I'll be giving one a whirl to see what like it is when I get back to Scotland.
