Actually funny you mention this.... I was never able to french inhale when I smoked analog cigarettes. But I do it with the greatest of ease while I vape. Go figure.

I'm exactly the same, the smoke would always irritate my nose to the point I would almost tear up.

Now I think I irritate my husband more with all the silly/cool vapor tricks I do

One takes a deep drag, then while the mouth is open and the jaw is slowly closed to force the smoke out, one inhales through the nose, thus inhaling the smoke drifting from the mouth.

Thanks, towardsthelight, but I've only just recently mastered walking and chewing gum at the same time...I think I'll have to work up to that. :p

Can you pop your jaw?

That is actually how I learned to blow smoke rings was by taking just as heavy of a drag, and just pop my jaw closed with my lips in an O.

*shrugs*

It was the only smoking trick I knew in my late teens. Well.... Zippo tricks.... but I dont have the use of a zippo anymore.

perfect! I have always wanted to do it and people showed me how they did it but I couldn't do it.. until now, perfect explanation ! can't wait to show hubby my new trick! lol he can't understand why I couldn't do it.. the whole pop your jaw thing !! got it! YAY :D

Wow I'd forgotten all about the french inhale. With vapor this is strangely fun, nostalgic (in a much less painful way than it was with cigs), and smells nice too :D
I've had vapor rings form unintentionally a couple of times already, which I could never manage with cigarette smoke. Next goal: the mastery of intentional ring blowing!

I can do rings and french - But I do it backward most often - I pull the vapor into my mouth then let it slowly come out from my nose - Really fills it with the flavor -

I figured out another little flavor booster too -
Hold the mouthpiece just inside your lips and draw through closed teeth.
Find a spot where it rests comfortably (I have a handy gap lol) -

It really boosts the flavor for me - I think it causes some of the vapor to condense slightly - Doesn't give you juicy mouth but you can really taste it -

Go on - I know you're trying it now ;)

    This is interesting.

I've never tried french inhaling before, and I have to say the flavor/smell was really pleasant.

What is odd, is that reversing it (breathing vapor OUT through the nose) actually smells very UNpleasant to me. I'm not sure why it would be different, but it is.

The comment above about inhaling thru your teeth, I do that sometimes too. What I usually do tho is place my tongue right next to the hole where the vapor comes out, so all of the vape splashes off my tastebuds before swirling around my mouth. :)
