When I started I did mouth-to-lung inhales, like I did when I smoked, but that may have had more to do with that I preferred auto ecigs at the beginning. Once I got my eVic and it became my exclusive PV I noticed I started doing lung inhales pretty much immediately, which really surprised me because I could never do that before. It's actually funny, I got a friend to try vaping and I had to teach him not to inhale and hold.

I do not inhale. I vape recreationally for flavors, was never a smoker and I have seasonal/irritant asthma. When I inhale I start wheezing. I love my mouth/nose inhales, that is how you taste the flavors the best :)

That's so interesting, because I'm not a smoker either (occasional cigars or a pipe) and I DO inhale. However lately I have noticed that my lungs feel somewhat "heavy" or irritated if I do this too much, so I think I need to stop... My sinuses have also been getting pretty congested. I've noticed this more recently because I've been vaping a lot more than usual in the last couple of weeks.

I do inhale, sometimes more deeply than I did with cigs. But HOW I drag is completely different now. I never exhaled out of my nose when I smoked. NEVER.

Now, I do puff a little first, then draw it into my mouth, then inhale. While I'm exhaling out of my nose, I'm pulling my second drag into my mouth, then lungs, then exhale out the nose and mouth.

That whole process might last 6-8 seconds, but that's how I do it. VERY effective on the nic absorption. I've been able to drop from 18mg to 6 in about 3 months with no effort or nic fits.

Thanks for the replies -- they're interesting!

One thing I'm seeing that resonates with me is the emphasis, among the seldom-to-never inhalers, on "tasting" our vapor . I am definitely into tasting the flavor of my vapes! :)

I think flavor is important to us inhalers, too. I myself am a flavor junkie. Flavor, Vapor, TH, in that order. It's just that I truly loved the feeling of smoking and now love the feeling of inhaling vapor as much as I like tasting my juice. :)

Whee, I just tried your technique altered to fit my puffing only style. I inhaled into my mouth, then exhaled from my nose while inhaling more at the same time (kind of a reverse circular breathing technique like wind instrument musicians use). Wow, what a ton of vapor and taste that produces. Love that!

I like the mouth-to-lung inhales, but I also enjoy tasting the liquids and smelling them. I might take a few quick puffs, which fills my mouth with goodness, and then draw it into my lungs as I savor the exhale through the nose.

Oh, and I still insist on a good throat hit -- it lets me know that I am inhaling more than air.

Yeah, it is tempting sometimes for me to even do just a throat inhale to really get that rich feeling, but I seriously pay for it if I even do it *once* I am audibly wheezing and it is so damn annoying. Mouth only and I am fine. I am just greatful I can enjoy my mouth/nose hits....my whole life I have never been able to enjoy any kind of inhaled pleasure because of my asthma, at least with vaping I get the tastes and the clouds, the whole experience is relaxing and fun for me.

As a side note, when doing my initial research, I had noticed that on some forums/threads there was a lot of hostility towards non smokers who vape. I have not noticed that here and have really felt welcomed. I was prepared to be defensive and declare that as an adult I can choose to enjoy this legal activity if I darn well please, but I have not had to ever bring it up. I think us non-smoker vapers will be a benefit to the vaping community and cause in the big picture. We bring a different perspective and a different experience that may be interesting in the long run.
