I work in a kitchen and even tho vaping is not smoking I still go to the smoking section because I can't use "tobacco" product inside working... It is what it is. But I do sneak into the walk-in cooler if I just want a drag or two :) But I am super happy that I can use it indoors at other places. I have been asked to refrain a couple times and some people give me odd looks because my PV can really put out the fog

I dont miss having an area to smoke in . It was outside with only two sides so you was open to the elements and it was disgusting with all the ... ends littered everywhere. i have never been happier then sitting inside with my cup of tea and nice big couch to sit on.
bonus part now is that they come in smelling terrible and feeling cold or wet depending on the weather while i dont.

I have to say that at first I felt I had to stealth at certain places. And there are certain places I just just won't vape at cause I do not want to draw that attention at that particular time. But, I have become more open since then. I figure it this way, if I am somewhere where my vapor cloud is not going to be distracting visually from something going on, and if it is somewhere well ventilated, or outdoors, or a place that cooks food, then I say vape. Cause my vapor is no different from the steam at the coffee shop at the airport. So, I guess I throw it almost in the food category. You're not gonna eat in church for example. :)

Don't miss 'em at all. I wasn't ever a particularly social smoker anyway, and I hated the concentrated stale cigarette smell even when I was contributing to it. Oddly enough, an actively smoking person doesn't really smell awful to me even now, it's just the smell that's left behind.

Years ago, when you could still smoke in bars, I remember we all used to say we smoked defensively- you wouldn't be able to breathe all that concentrated second hand smoke unless you were chain smoking yourself. I swear, I would end up horribly hungover no matter how little I drank just from all the extra smoke and my clothes would just reek with that nasty stale smoke from a thousand lungs smell. That's the smell I associate with smoking areas, and they make me feel a little sick every time I catch a whiff walking by, esp. if no one is actually smoking in them.

Is that strange?

I don't miss the designated areas. Smoking was banned at my bar in january, and I love to watch all of them going outside in the nasty weather. While I sit and vape and drink :)

Same here! I just don't get it though. A good portion of the smokers in my home town have used tobacco for years and years and they look as if they are going to kick the bucket at anytime now. They won't even give the e cig a try, not even as a sample. I am proud to kick a 35 year tobacco habit and I still enjoy the same sensation as I did when I was a smoker, without all the bad health and the bad smell too! Woot Woot, Vape On!!

Strange, that. When I first started vaping, it was very hard not to have a stink log during breaks at work. While I can and do vape at my desk, I still wanted to go outside. For some weird reason, it seemed that vaping wouldn't satisfy me when I did so. It was as if I wasn't really on a "break" unless I was outside and had a stinkie! For me at least, it was the hardest part of getting off of the analogs. It took me about a month to finally accept (for lack of a better term) vaping as being part of a "break." I too, would like to see designated areas, although it does somewhat irk the rebel in me. As previously stated by others, it would be nice to vape freely at anywhere, anytime. It'll come. As more and more people discover these wonderful devices, and the general public becomes educated as to what they are, it will be accepted. All change takes time.
