No I don't..I'm quite capable of TURNING IT DOWN, if it's too hot *lol*
one more bell and whistle to break imo.

Yes you need a TC mod even if you dont use NI or TI coils why? Because thats what the cool kids have. If you dont order one soon you will die a horrible death. So even if you have no self preservation instincts, buy one for your family they would miss you its the most unselfish thing you can do!how important is it to have temp control? I'm looking for my next mod and was wondering if it's a must have. I'm a tootle puffer btw. Also to you HAVE to use a tank w nickel or titanium coils?

I think temperature control is the next thing to happen within the vaping community, but ultimately I think it's going to be unnecessary and something I don't see me using until it's universally accepted and these become cheaper (not dropping $160+ on a vapor shark with only 40 watts).
There is a lot more to a Vaporshark then just watts. It's a buck-boost chip and DC-DC converter meaning it's accuracy is right there with ProVari. Most of your cheap mods can either buck or boost but can't do both and are PWM instead of DC-DC.I think temperature control is the next thing to happen within the vaping community, but ultimately I think it's going to be unnecessary and something I don't see me using until it's universally accepted and these become cheaper (not dropping $160+ on a vapor shark with only 40 watts).
you mean the 4 o 5 hours freeway? There is a few places worse to drive in Frisco NY and Manilla but not buy muchThat said, as a motorcycle guy I still love being in complete control of my transmission but when I'm stuck in my car on the 405 during rush hour, man that automatic tranny is a great thing to have.

You also don't need a lot of watts when working with nickel for temp control. But if power and affordability is what you want, there is always the IPV4.
I own the Vaporshark rDNA 40 which is built very well, has wireless charging capabilities and when charging via USB will fully charge your battery in 90 minutes.
I also own the SX Mini M Class which will give you a bit more power for temperature control, does 60w with a normal kanthal vape and 120w if you use the battery extension tube. There is also an update coming soon which will bring it to 150w.

Sonicbomb has a valid point. I'm seeing so many problems with TC devices, that I've decided to stay away...for now.
I can give you a reason. While I'm not entirely on the TC-train, I don't really see a reason to get a new mod without TC. Not like you have to use it. Why not have the option to at least try it?
