A supersized soft drink of your choice at McDonald's costs you ~$2, it costs them ~9 cents

Businesses make profit yes... so does alibaba.
Nope
McD has a flat rate of $1 anysize pop.
And yes it costs about $.10-$.15 for the liquid but another $.5 for the cup and another $.2-$.5 to pay the people filling them.
Etc
Just because the product costs $.10 doesn't mean that it's shipped, Pp fees, Taxes, Etc

Vendors have to buy and store numerous products and hope they sell out before a new version comes along. They also have to deal with the hassle of frequent importing. Then there's the inevitable DOA's they'll most likely have to eat because it may not be worth the expense and hassle to send them back to China. I say they earn their money.

Still sucks no matter how you look at it!

sure does but its not cheap to have the up front cash to buy 50 spinners at a time or 100 novas in one shot and then fill up a room doing this.

Yeah but you can buy them in co ops for that price.
Doesn't suck.
That's how people make a living.

yup, but again you see the wait time on some of them? and the amount they have to buy in order for it to work?

you want it now? well someone had to pony up the cash to make sure you can click add to cart anytime you want..............
(hope you never see the actual markup on a car or tv if this is bugging you out lol)

Not to mention dealing with customer complaints that the darned things don't work demanding their money back. There is no quality control on any of the stuff that comes from China. And, Chinese makers of this stuff do not offer a money back warranty for their crappy products. The vendor is the one that faces the customers' wrath, and that to me is worth my respect for the vendors.

The world does not owe us anything.

def agree with that, can you imagine how muck junk they must get caught holding as fast as new revisions of something come along in this game?

Look at it this way how much do you make an hour? The vendor puts in time ordering, inventory, has to have a place to store the stuff ect.... they have to ship each item so you can figure each Item they spend about 2 hours on. If they tack 40$ on to the price thats only 20$ per hour I get payed more than 3 x that so I think its very reasonable for them to double the price.

I am happy to pay someone else for the hassle of ordering in bulk, packaging my order and sending it to me hassle free. I pay for convenience and I know it.
Its rather like baking. Yes, I have intelligence and a reasonable amount of apatude (cant spell though) but if I needed a wedding cake I would pay someone else to do it. I know I will get a better experience from paying someone than doing it myself.

First, vendors aren't selling to break even. It's a business, and if they're doing it full time then you have to consider their wages. Most are pushing well over 12 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Also, there's other costs beyond just buying the kit. Website, storage, phone, shipping. Speaking of shipping, do they have free shipping? If you aren't paying for shipping they are. Sure, you can go on alibaba and look at those great low prices, but take a look at the MOQs on the manufacturers of well known brands. Most are in the hundreds, if not thousands, minimum to order.
