Do you stick with the original ohm coils?

I'll never tell!

3.0...

Sigh

Sent from my Sonic Screwdriver using telepathy.

Thanks Reverend..........I'll let everybody know my experience with them. I'm planning on loading 2 more Triton tanks one with the 2.6 and one with the 3.0, load them with the same juice and test on my 650 batteries. I already have the one that is 2.2 so I'll be able to side by side compare. And I'll have all 3 batteries fully charged. This is as scientific and tinkering as I get.......

I do have an ohm meter just gotta learn how to use it ;) lol. They should come pre etched IMO. But either way my tanks are color coded and I'm .... about organization so I should be OK, if not maybe there will be happy accidents

OK, always9988, Yes, the hi-res coils will cool the vape, and I agree, essential for Belgium. I only vaped Belgium on a battery with 50% discharge.

(But you know you need a VV. You know you are going to buy one. The question is how much will you kick yourself for waiting so long. :D)

Hmmm what are good ideas for marking them? Will a dot or line drawn with a permanent marker on the condom be okay?

Sharpie won't stay on those condoms I know that, tried to mark the condoms for cartos and wipes right off. I was thinking just a way to scratch the metal in a certain way maybe? Or pull the flavor wick all the way out when soaking so you know the one with only one wick is the higher resistance?

What happens when you take a marked condom off, like for cleaning, soaking? (If you could mark them!)

Get a fine sharp metal file, and file a cut, or a scratch on the coil head tube. Get a system, 1 scratch for 2.2, 2 sratches for 2.8, and the not equal symbol ≠ for high res. Do the same to the other side. Then rinse clean all the filings!!!

Look at the coil head in your tank, and you will see where you should scratch it, so you know what's in a tank. (not too high)

Thanks Dave! As soon as I get them I'll do that!

Wouldn't it be easier to use a VV, adjust the voltage to a particular juice's "sweet spot" and then calculate the power based on the voltage and resistance?

In other words, a stock battery and coil (3.7V/2.3ohms) is equivalent to a VV at 4.3V/3.1ohms as both put out 5.95W.

The idea then is to determine the watts for a particular juice (using a VV) and then buy the appropriate coil for your standard battery (vice testing a bunch of different coils).

I also wanna make it so I can still use my regular batteries though. I often change flavors and I'd rather have 3-4 set ups ready to go whenever I want that flavor, rather than changing tanks every 30 mins or so. I tend to do maintenance 3 times a week (recharging batteries, cleaning coils, etc) and just top off tanks the rest of the time. This makes the coils and batteries last a lot longer for me because I'm not exclusively using one thing all day. I also don't go out too often so it might be different, the person that works 8-10 hours is probably only taking 2 devices normally

We've discussed this before, many times.

If you need a cooler vape for a chocolate or coffee flavor, these high resistance coils are the way to go.

For any other purpose, you're really better off with a VV using standard coils.

Think about the cost of getting all these different coils, and a VV makes a lot more sense.

For markings, there's a seller on eBay that sells silicone color rings, for dental instruments. I haven't tried them, but it seems like they would be about the right size for a coil.

Yes, it would be easier, but the OP doesn't have a VV yet.

As I always have to point out...building your own coils is the way to go

Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk 2

Um I tried making one coil with no plans of using it, just to see... And apparently I'm a complete d.a. because no way was that crap going to work on anything without making it break. I think I missed the tinker gene. Also, once made how do you get it down in the Triton head, it's not exactly open like most clearo heads?

Whew, yall are talking WAY over my head! I guess I will get it sooner or later. LOL

Don't worry leelee hang out long enough and most of it will seem very simple. Its in the other forums the planes are flying way over my head. Halo products are fairly simple in comparison

See here leelee, this is what I call tinkerers, I'm not a tinkerer, probably won't ever be a tinkerer.

In other words, they probably enjoy re-programming a DVD/VCR player, I just want to hit play and it work. Halo works when you press play but they can tinker with it too, everybody is happy.
