The only places that I vape where I didn't used to smoke is directly in front of a building (within 25ft of the door), and the movies. Everywhere else I just wait until I get back outside. Although I absolutely love being able to sneak a few drags in the movie theater! The first movie I saw after I started vaping was Thor: The Dark World, and it was awesome being able to pay attention to the movie rather than thinking about it ending so I can go smoke a cig outside. I used to suffer through it, as I hated leaving the theater for any reason while the movie was playing. Now I don't have to :vapor:

Also if you are in a crowded theater and you are worried about people noticing, you can usually just get up and go to the aisles that lead out of the theater to get some quick privacy...

The only place I publicly vape is in the vape shop down the street when I go to blow more money on different juices (even when I already have plenty at home). :p

Occasionally I'll hit my vape in the bathroom while I'm at work - my boss doesn't really like it when I bother her for a smoke break, so if I get both things out of the way at once, it's better.

Even when I smoked, I was courteous, and stood off aways from others. It was "my" time anyway, a time to collect my thoughts, relax, see my wonderful anxiety exhale into thin air. Yet, the same people I tried to be courteous around would edge closer and closer to me. They were not afraid of the burning cigarette, were not brainwashed, were not total ANTZ, they were just people whose own loved ones smoke or smoked. Today, I vape like I smoked. Away from others, except immediate family, who loves the smell of vapor.
The public deserves the right to know that these new vapor thingies have come a long way and that they really really work. Others have posted this already, quite beautifully, and if can't agree more.
The ALA, TFK, Etc are trying to HIDE these safer alternatives from the public, just like they've done every THR product in the past. They don't want smokers switching. They want their MSA funds, Pharma funds, etc. it's my duty to not hide this miracle tool, this method of not smoking.

Take a good look at this painting by Max
The smoker is being pushed into the street as he tries to keep his distance from others. It is They, not him, who don't care about the smoke bothering people. This was back in the good old days when almost everybody smoked or knew someone who did. This was how it was in real life. The ANTZ have brainwashed everyone into believing that the audience was trapped, dying, screaming, hating, writhe ring in agony over your smoke. The crowd edged closer to the smoker, not visa Versa. I'm so tired of the BS.

I live in NYC where they banned vaping indoors. I vape in the bar I go to because the owner doesn't mind and supports that I stopped smoking stinkies. Other then that I don't vape indoors unless I'm home or at work. It was funny I must say.. In NYC before they banned ecigs.. You'd see people protesting the new law by blowing ridiculous clouds in public, whereas most people don't do that out of respect for others.. But once that law was passed here, it gave establishments 4 months until the law was actually passed.. 4 months vapers were blowing crazy clouds all over the place lol

I also work as a cashier, so I have went to the restroom and vaped (when it was empty and the store is slow). Most go in there to text or take calls, I use it to vape. I do it mostly with one OA, since she doesn't like smoking (and/or vaping), most of the others used to let me take a smoke break, and now they don't have issue with allowing me a vape break, so when those OAs are working I just head outside :)

I also have accidently vaped in stores (as a customer). Mainly because I was holding it in my hand instead of putting it in a case in my purse. No one (employee or customer) ever said anything or gave me dirty looks, but I was kind of embarrassed.

I was wondering if you had the guts to vape at a restaurant or mall or where ever, or would it just not be worth it because of the dirty looks and assumptions? I'm thinking of taking a few crafty vapes in the movies.

I vape in movie theaters; just lean down a bit and cover the lighted button so that it doesn't grab attention. I tend to sit in the very back of a theater (so I don't have to wonder what people behind me are doing) so don't have to worry about visible vapor. I have been known to vape in restaurants in the 'no smoking' section, especially if they do have a smoking section. I vape in my own antique shop, but generally won't vape in indoor locations where smoking is not permitted, other than theaters and I think I do that just because I know I can get away with it and because I don't want to miss the movie just because I need my nicotine. I might consider slipping into a restroom in a no smoking place...

Good heavens NO! I have never been a smoker and only vape to not eat while watching television at night. I don't use nicotine, but I do enjoy the different flavors and scents. I think it's a harmless habit and will be very popular eventually. I look forward to the time when more and more people stop smoking regular cigarettes and the world smells sweeter.

I vape where ever usually, I ask in pubs and don't vape in restaurants.
I to stealth vape all day at work but some people see I think but they don't care.

I avoid smoke alarms like the plague as I am unsure of the sensitivity at work.
Dust has set them off so I don't take the chance. Not sure many people would be happy going out in the cold and rain because of me  I might ask if at some point when they do a fire alarm test, just before blow a nice cloud at the detector hehe
