Hello All!

I am new to this forum and wanted to know if you "Vape" more than you used to smoke?

I have been vaping on my ecig for about a month, and find I have had to make a real effort to not continually be smoking on my ecig.

While I enjoy not smelling like cigarettes anymore, I think I may be over-doing it a bit..LOL!!

I am using a 15ml bottle a week..Reg strength, and am hooked on the vanilla and strawberry flavors.

How much do you vape?

Yes Tvic, I reckon I'm trying to make up for the past, namely :-

a) not being able to smoke when and where I wanted
b) not being able to afford to smoke as much as I wanted
c) feeling humiliated, guilty and fearful about smoking
d) feeling nauseated (and broke!) after hours of smoking
e) feeling disgusted by the dirtiness of smoking

History has a powerful effect on the present.

The general concensus seems to be 2ml a day is average, so 15ml a week is pretty close to that. I figure I vape about 3ml a day. That is more than I used to smoke, but I also have started making 0mg juice for the evenings. Daytime I vape 18mg which ends up being 14.4mg after I add flavor to the mix. By using no nic at night, I don't wire myself up so much.

I have noticed this is very true for me as well.

I vape much more than I smoked, but mostly I believe this is because as I have stated before that I am on a very low dosage of nicotine and I can continually take a puff here and there and not vape a while then take a few hits and put it down again. With a cigarette I had to go outside smoke a whole one (whether I really wanted a whole one or not, because I would have to stop whatever it was I was doing in the first place to go smoke.)

My boss even lets me vape at work so I don't have to stop what I am doing now either. It makes it very easy to continue vaping.

Most people take about 15 hits of a cig and depending on how many you smoked a day varies for person to person for me it was a cig every 1.5 hours
I do find myself vapping more then I smoked so I went up in my nicotine levels so I can cut the urge to vap all day and try to vap only when I get the craving for a smoke and keep it down to 10 to 15 drags of my e cig

I found the same thing, and is why I carry a couple differnent nic strengths with me.... High for those moments to suppress the craving, and Low for the sake of just wanting the action/pleasure of vaping.

Same here. I used to do the same with analogs - a pack of Lights for regular use and a pack of English Ovals for when I wanted to knock my socks off.

I vape more like I'd sip a drink mostly, but two or three times a day I'll load up with something strong and go for it :)

I spend most of the day sitting in front of a computer (or 3) and seem to always have one hanging out of my mouth. If I could have smoked at work, I would have smoked as much as I currently vap. I'm going to have to go with a much lower concentration because I'm sure I'm far more addicted now than I was... if it's possible to be more addicted. Maybe I have a higher tolerance now. Whatever, I'm sure I'm getting more nic even though I don't measure or in any way pay attention to how much I'm using.

On day 3 with my new cig and things seem to be going pretty decent for me I'd say

I'm on my second battery going to switch back to the recharged first battery for tomorrow. Getting good vapor very satisfying. My only problem is I bought too high of a strength liquid and have to get something lower.

I don't seem to be actually smoking more just a little more often with a little less each time.

I go through one, maybe one and a half carts in a day (and these three days have been days off work not at work). I smoke about 5 drags when my girlfriend lights up her analog, we always smoke together, just seems like when one lights up the other has to. But anyway in between the next light up she has I might take another drag or two, then join her in her next light up for another 5 drags or so. So I don't think I'm vaping all that much more often than I smoked. Tomorrow back at work will be the test. And then dropping down the nic content in my liquid will also be the test.
