Has anyone ever had a carto come in DOA? I've seen this on 2 of my cartos so far. I try to vape and I don't get anything. No heat, no vapor, no flavor, no sizzling sound telling me it's working. I've tried these 2 cartos on auto batts, manual batts, and PTs.

Are they both the same flavor i.e. batch? Or random? I've been lucky *knocks wood* but duds happen. I am sure Steve will fix you up on your next order...;)

Didn't I read somewhere here that there were some incompatibilities between older batt's and carto's? Something to do with slotted vs. non-slotted of each? Was the "staple mod" the answer to that or am I thinking of something different? Jen Jen?

It seems unlikely to me with all the different batteries/PT you tested, but I guess it could be possible that the carto's/batt's aren't matching up...

Definitely drop V4L a line explaining your issue...

I've had one freebie pomegranate cart that was threaded bad and I couldn't screw it down all the way no matter how hard I tried, but other than that, haven't really had any problems, other than some just don't seem to put out much vapor. As others said, bad carts can happen, just mention it on your next order and Steve will take care of it.

I guess I assumed since they wouldn't work on several types, it is the carto. ;)

Could be that though. Most cartos, at least the ones from V4L have the groove. Some old cartos do not have the groove and therefore the battery needs to have the groove. Most of the older auto batteries have the groove, but I don't think any of the newer manual batteries have the groove. If neither the carto or the batt have the groove, you will not be able to get air out of it.

I have a pack of Marl 16mg that produce vapor only if I am "primer puffing", but when I inhale there is no vapor at all on exhale. It's the same on all 5 carts in the pack.
(But there is one heck of a throat hit! Just no exhale vapor.)

Is it just me or do you need to do a lot of primer puffs to get all the carts going?
Also find the vapor is rather thin on almost all the flavors I've tried so far.

Don't get me wrong, I like my VKs and Steve is the best, just would like more vapor...

Are you using auto batts? I find I get more vapor with my manuals, but it could just be me. I definately prefer manuals and no primer puff required! ;)

Yeah, I must say I don't even like the autos that much anymore (although I do want one of the new shorties when they are in stock!) Steve threw in a long freebie with my first order (thanks again!), and I love it! I will definitely be ordering another couple of short and long manuals with my next order.
