We need to come up with a finalized list of questions. Use this thread for ideas.

I think we need to focus on the social aspect as it effects individuals. pro and anti smoker and e-smoker. I'm open to debate on this matter, but i don't want this to have wide appeal with e-smokers and no appeal to someone who hates smoking. I'm trying to make a broad audience base far exceeding the forum here.

Post up your question ideas. Keep in mind that this list for for e-smokers. List will be changed to suit other people like non-smokers, anti-smokers, smokers, doctors, etc.

Here are some questions that are in no particular order yet. they will be once we are happy with the list.

Here is a prelim list of questions that will be added to as needed. Don't go recording your vids yet.
1. How long have you smoked and when/how did you start?
2. Why do you use electronic cigarettes?
3. What does the e-cig mean to you?
4. How have E-cigs changed your life?
5. How have e-cigs restored or removed freedoms from your life?
6. What would you do if e-cigs are banned or otherwise unavailable?
7. (for the Australians) What will you do now that e-cigs are banned?
8. How supportive are your friends and family with regard to e-smoking?
9. How long have you been using e-cigs?
10. How have smokers responded to you e-smoking?
11. How have non-smokers responded to you e-smoking?
12. How do you feel about regulation of e-cigarettes?
13. How do you feel about taxation of electronic cigarettes?
14. What would you say to all the smokers with regards to electronic cigarettes?
15. What would you say to all the non-smokers with regards to electronic cigarettes?
16. What would you say to all the anti-smokers with regards to electronic cigarettes?
17. What would you say to your government representatives with regards to electronic cigarettes?
18. How do you feel about e-cigs being a viable alternative to analog cigarettes?
19. What concerns do you have with the youth population using electronic cigarettes?
20. How do you feel about the government and anti's playing nanny and deciding how you should live your life?

Hopefully that is a decent list. Let me know if i am missing any major points here.

Where did you first hear about E-cigs?(so years from now we can learn who started this fire ;)

Have you got other people using Ecigs?
What have the people's reaction that you got using ecigs been?
Have you had any negatives about it?
What are all the positives you have gotten?
What is your current type of Ecig and why?
Do you still use Analogs and why?
What flavor you like?
Do you do just carts, drip, refill?

That's all I got for now. It's 4 a.m. :)

I believe that we need some discussion on the functionality of e-cigs. I haven't read through any other posts about this documentary, so please excuse me if the nature of the video precludes discussion of how well these things actually work.

To continue, I think that the documentary should address how well these things work, as this will correctly inform the misinformed/dysinformed. I know for a fact that so many people purchase e-cigs hoping they work as advertised -cart life, atomizer life, etc. . . We here on this forum know many of these claims are false, and I think they need to be cleared-up. I think people want to know the true cost of e-smoking; the true cost of atomizer replacement.

Maybe the questions should be:

what is a true cart life estimate for a super-mini/mini/classic?

How long, on average, do atomizers maintain their vaping abilities?

Let's try to focus on a direction. Nobody who isn't a smoker or e-smoker will care about the devices in the grand scheme of things. what they will care about is the social implications of the devices, how they effect them, their families, and their society. How their use, regulation, etc. impacts their life and the lives of e-smokers.

I think we should focus on the social side of things not on the specifics of usage. That make sense?

Sure, I'm in complete agreement. I definitely don't want you to stray from the main focus of your documentary. I guess I didn't have a very good idea of the themes you wanted to convey. I think this project sounds awesome in every way, and I hope the community likes it.

How do analog smokers feel about the e-cig?
I`ve had good and bad comments when vaping in public , but most of the negative comments seem to come from die hard smokers.
I was vaping in a bar recently and an ex-smoker actually picked up the habit again after 2 years. Weak willed or encouragement? .I did explain the in`s and out`s of vaping but I did feel gulity.Maybe if i didn`t vape then he wouldn`t be on the evil weed again.

I haven't visited this thread since it got its own location, but I'm glad to see the focus of the questions will be open-ended, as you say Dusty. Yes-no questions like "is it safer than ..." "is it cheaper than ... 'do you feel better than..." are dull, dull, dull and do not make good video (or good conversation, as far as that goes). Draw comments from people! Tell stories.

Your list seems good. Let each person choose five to answer. No more. Then you, Mr. Director, can view the video essays and put the pieces together. I cannot imagine you wanting to sit through lots of 30-minute talking heads stiffly answering each and every question. Even Robert Redford would fall asleep during that.

And you surely need a curmudgeon like Trog if all you get are happy campers loving this new hobby. Somebody needs to tell some truths. I know you know that. You also need Trumpybloke, our Mexican member and some more who have faced a ban. It ain't all roses out there. Good luck.
