This is my first time using 316L ss wire on my rda and this thing crackles and pops like crazy!!! It's a 9 wrap 2.5 ID fused Clapton 28g cores and 40g outer (if that makes sense) 0.26 ohms at 40watts. Thought it was just that build so I put another one in a different rda and I get the same thing. Is this normal?

A little cracking and popping is nothing to worry about, as long there is no spitting back. It is not a bug...it is a feature!

Rather than type of material I've found airflow, loose wicking, positioning of the coil or power to be the cause most of the time. I've also found clapton, fused and twisted to pop more than straight wire builds, probably due to the extra surface area.

It's really not a big deal unless your getting spit back then you'll probably want to adjust things.
