I mentioned to a member who was having some draw issues on a CE2 that he might try Opening Up the side holes with a 1/16” drill. He replied that he had never heard of this being done. I think he thought I was joking. That or that I was Crazy.

So the question is:

Does Anyone else beside myself Drill Out their CE2’s?

Nope. This is the first I've heard of it myself. I musta missed this discussion someplace. I've never had any problems with the draw other than my ego cone fitting too tight on the new tubes. I just swedged the cone open to allow air down in.

So do you do this to all your E2's or just the ones that you think have too tight of a draw?

I do it to most New CE2's. And after a couple of refills and a Dry Burn I do it if it is not done allready.

For me, opening up the holes gives a better hit. More Flavor and more Vapor.

Well now.... I just gotta try it then! lol I've actually noticed this same type of thing with and without my cone on. My cone still restricts a little air because I didn't open it up enough and I notice a slightly tighter draw with it on. I just always thought the taste difference was in my head though. lol

Do you drill straight through both sides and the center part or do you come in from each side and just open up the outer part?

Just the Outer part.

All you do is chuck up a 1/16" drill in a drill motor and just poke thru the existing side hole. You Don't go any farther than to open up the side hole. You'l feel when you pkoe thru the outer part.

I would suggest you try doing Only one hole and see how the draw feels. I do both holes but I like a Very Free Flowing draw.

BTW - I have noticed that CE2's that have the side holes drilled don't "gunk" up the coil/wick as fast as those that haven't been drilled.

oh hey i do this to my dual coils. not always at first but usually after a couple of refills or if it feels restricted at all. i have done it to some ce2 but the ones i've been using right now haven't needed it (might do it anyway now you got me thinking about it) i used to like some resistance when i first started vaping but after playing with some other stuff (like the turbine) and drilling out several sapphire carts i found i like the easier draw much better. and the dual coils hit really nice for me with the extra air at about 4 1/2 volts - if the carts getting old i might go closer to 5v but i dont check it anymore just set the dial where she feels good lol

Oh now THAT is interesting. Now I have to try this because less cleaning is ALWAYS a good thing. It's a guy thing. :)

Thanks for the tip Zoid!

That's because zoid's on old ECF veteran. He used to vape before batteries were invented and you had to rub two atties together

That's not even the half of it.

I bought my first e-Cig online using a 56k modem. That was back when Porn on the Internet was in ASCII.
