LOL I am new to this but might i suggest you use the plastics still and just make flavors close to what was in them. I mean if they were flavors you liked anyway :) that way you can still re-purpose all of them ;)
Just rinse them well in warm water, then fill with PGA or vodka for a day then rinse again and let air dry with no lid for a day. Unless they had anise or somesuch in them they should be fine.

I buy the 1 oz amber glass dropper bottles from Amazon under $7/dozen. I now have about 36 and it should be enough unless friends keep packing them off and not returning the empties.

I'm just curious if anyone else saves their empty e-liquid bottles. I have no use for them, and no particular reason why I save them....I guess I just like them too much to throw the away. I ESPECIALLY like collecting the glass 30mL bottles from the various e-liquid vendors.....View attachment 481984

I will tell you what I tell everyone in my household. "Trash belongs in the trash" And.. "We don't save trash, that is why its called trash"

:D

Now, you may do as they do... ignore me! hahaha

Think about how much money was spent on whats in that box.

Doesn't bother me at all! I've diligently done the math, and I only spend about 1/3 of what I used to spend while smoking cigs.

When I smoked cigs, I averaged spending about $200 a month!

With e-cigs, I average about $60 a month on e-liquid, and $10 a month on coils.

So, I spend $70/month as opposed to $200/month.

Also, sometimes I am on a tighter budget, and need to spend less. Every third month or so, I cut my spending down to around $40/month, and I have NO problem doing so. It is simply a matter of building my own coils that month, and ordering from a cheaper e-liquid company (like ITC Vapes) instead of paying the normal $20 for 30mL I pay usually.

In other words, I *only* spend $70/month on e-liquid because I can afford it, comfortably. When I need/want to spend less, I have no issue doing so. :)

Some bottles are just too useful or cool to recycle.

First, Halo 30ml cobalt blue with droppers, both handy and cool. You can buy appropriate tops to use them for nic freezing when breaking down a larger bottle. Same for most all 60ml glass bottles, which use the same cap. Thinking about it, I keep all the glass bottles lol.

Second, Mr E-Liquid triangular shaped bottles with thin needle tips. They are very pocketable polypropylene bottles and come in handy. Hands down the best 15ml and 30ml plastic bottles made, IMO.

Third, most plastic bottles with thin needle tips, just because those tips are very effective for refilling.

Lastly, in the realm of repurposing, 375ml Absolut bottles are handy for making 300ml batches and shaking them up!

i hate the eye dropper bottles! I like the needle tip because the end fits nicely in the opening of my Aerotank and I drip liquid in the threads when filling up in the dark.

And I hate needle tip bottles - takes forever to fill. Have not used Aerotank in a while, but it easily could be filled with wide mouth bottle.

actually one concern of mine is the question of proper cleaning.
sometimes you *think* something is clean then it breaks and if you rub the inside of it with your finger you discover a rough surface when you rub it with your fingers.
Agreed!!! I would be too worried that my "cleaned" used bottle still had residual grime on the inside from soap.. old juice.. or even water, which could seriously destroy a flavor.

Better safe than sorry is my motto!~~

Most of my DIY bottles do not get cleaned after the initial cleaning. I just refill with the same juice. If changing flavors I rinse well with hot tap water and then alcohol and then again with water. Sling the water out and let dry open for a day in the sun by the window. Same with the droppers in them.
Never had a taste problem or disease yet. But then I do not use anise or red hot flavors and such.
But it even gets rid of the tobacco flavors well.

I had my friend give me all of his glass 30 ml bottles (20). The only 2 that i had bought from a B&M was thrown away because i was not thinking about DIY when i had them. I bought in total, 4 bottles in my 1 year of vaping to date. Bought 2 30s and then 2 10 ml plastic because it was costing as much as my analogs before reading on DIY. I have then since only done my own juice as they are catered to my preference. Reduce, Re-use, Recycle. I keep 10 cleaned out, 7 that are usually steeping and the other 3 with juice ready for vaping.
