I have found two shops one is great lets u do all the testing u want and always talks about the new stuff and the things they use and sometimes its off the internet. but one store i checked out was full of 20 somethings and didnt want anything to do with a 40 something very rude... I got more help from one of the customers then the staff.. so i guess its hit or miss! And the rude store looks like they only sell ego sets and i would love to step up to a mod. Ill just have to see what my nice store can do for me price wise cuz i love to support a nice new shop.
Place off Walker (south side) has mods, not the friendliest place but good juice, place off 19th in Moore very friendly and helpful but no mods that I've seen and didn't like the juice as well. Heard some places in MWC are good, haven't been to any tho. I still prefer to buy local when I can find what I want, just supports the local economy and they are my neighbors who are just trying to make a living.

We have a lot of stores in our area. I know I ask a lot of questions and am still learning, but it seems no matter what store I go into the staff seem very rude and condescending. I try to be very polite and friendly, but it doesn't seem to matter. This has happened in three local stores. I am all about buying local and love supporting my community but this experience has sent me to the internet to get what I need product wise. I tend to live in a very friendly area and am shocked by this.

I just think overall this would be very off putting for many people interested in changing from smoking to vaping which is a shame. Does anyone else have similar problems or better luck? I'm just curious if it is my area or just the industry.

You aren't the only one. But, in my defense, every place that sells the stuff around where I live doesn't do so exclusively, or even primarily. This is exactly why I refuse to purchase anything from the vendors here. I know Apollo overprices many of their items compared to other sites, but their customer service is absolutely phenomenal, and their live chat has 15 hour/day run time. It was worth paying the (small) premium just to have the talks (which totaled several hours) about which variable voltage device would be best for someone with my job/life situation, what the difference there is between all the different tanks, and which ones they would recommend for my situation, how to fill said tanks, replace coils/carts/heads for said tanks, and really anything else I could think of. The lifetime warranty on non-consumable products I KNOW will eventually break (like the ego vv's non-changable battery) was an added perk. I was happy to pay a small premium after their team took such great care of someone looking to get beyond the Mistic's and Blu's.

Granted, I purchase my juice from elsewhere, but that has nothing to do with their customer service; I just like FuZionVapor.

I am always leery of the stores around my area from reviews. I went to one that the clerk was friendly but he tried to sell me some stuff that didn't suit me.

I am more of a trial and error guy and check reviews (especially here) and buy online. If what I bought doesn't work for me, then it's all me instead of a pushy clerk.

I am so glad that I am not the only one that has been disappointed by my local B&M! They had one employee that made me vow never to return there, which I have stuck to. I just heard from a friend that he was let go, glad the owner of the shop realized how rude he was. I visited a shop down in Florida when I was on vacation last month, same deal, no help, lame, lifeless, make you feel like you are bothering them. So I order everything online and hope to open my own shop here locally with stellar CS that will have everyone leaving happy, well informed and wanting to come back and vape with me :vapor:

I've been nothing but impressed with the service I've received from one of our local B&M's. When I went in the first time to look, the place was absolutely wall to wall with customers, but someone helped me pretty soon and explained what I needed, how to operate it, and answered whatever questions I had without acting rushed or impatient. I had a fair idea what I was going to buy from reading here. What shocked me that day was how packed the place was. I realized I wasn't exactly a pioneer in the vaping world that day.

That is unfortunate that many of you have had an unpleasant experience in your local vape shop. I personally have only ever gone to one store and that was this spring when we went to Orlando, FL. on vacation. They were extremely friendly and helpful and let me sample flavors before I purchased them....I only wish we had more stores close to where I live. It is about an hour drive to get to a store sorta near my area, ( I live between a cow barn and a cornfield for miles) so I do a lot of online purchases, the only down fall is the waiting for it to arrive. (yep, u bet I stalk my mailman...hehe) Had we went to an actual vape shop before we quit anologs we would've saved a lot of time and money instead of buying the disposibles and then the njoy and blu starter kits, and so on an so forth. It was due to being unsatisfied with them and online research that we bought ego's and flav. juices and a whole new world opened up and we went from there...

I've only used one business here in SA, Thanks for Vaping. When I hit their first store, I was initially put off by the lack of products, but the owner seemed to know his stuff and the pricing wasn't outrageous. Now they have a second store, much closer to me, and they started to expand a bit more on the hardware side. Picked up the wife's eVic there. They also make some of their own juices and they are good. Both stores are also lounges and it's nice to be able to vape someplace in public and not feel like you're out of place!

Reminds me.. wife wants some more of their juice....

I've found the vaping vendors in my area to be very patient and accommodating. Certain stores get busy and the customer service suffers a bit, but I feel like that is to be expected some times.

If I had a store that I didn't feel comfortable at because of the staff's attitude I would not do business with them again. If they don't want to treat you like they value your business then I'd go elsewhere.

Sad to say, bad customer service is not exclusive to a type of store or stores, but rather, pandemic in the service industry. (Restaurants, bars, phone service as well!) Too many people just don't seem to care anymore. The best way to resolve the problem, is to talk to the manager. Let him or her know that you were dissatisfied with the service. If it isn't resolved to your satisfaction, let them know you are taking your business elsewhere and they have lost a regular/repeat sales with you. Managers are ultimately responsible for the experience you have and want it to be a good one. They can't fix a problem unless they know there is one. OTOH, once in a while, you get a manager who is just as apathetic as their employees.

Sorry your experience was less than pleasant.

Conmpletely agree. It's getting worse and worse. I can understand going to a local McDonald's a receiving poor customer service (don't agree, mind you, just understand), because most of their employees are young, carefree kids that just don't get it yet. Worse is going to a reputable, high-class business and getting the same treatment. If I'm going to a local vape shop to plunk down some hard cash, I expect the best. Maybe I expect too much. That's why I will give return business to a store I'm completely happy with, even if that means driving a bit farther. Definitely let the store know though, whether good or bad, what you thought. Feedback from customers is priceless, and maybe letting them know you won't be giving them business as a result of their customer service will change things. The amount of vape shops popping up everywhere should make them realize that they're not the only option and that you WILL take your business elsewhere.

No dedicated B&M's in my area at all (local smoke shop carries an incredibly overpriced ego kit) but PBusardo, GrimmGreen and ECF have answered all my questions (with a little searching). I have ordered from 7 different online vendors and am very happy with the quality, speed of order fulfillment, and delivery - I am going to try Fasttech to see what their quality and delivery time is like from China so I can get some reasonable priced devices to give to friends to try to get them off the analogs

I wouldnt go back! to hell with them if they dont want customers who leave satisfied. I dont think anyone has time for it and their business will suffer because of it. My guys are cool, but I suspect they underestimate my knowledge on the subject (I know more than they do on some things) which makes it interesting. Always research everything and walk into situations informed..............which is what this forum provides. Makes the trial and error process less daunting and less expensive. I wouldnt go back to those stores.

Well said Sir !

I'm very new to all of this in fact only 11 days and 6 days without a traditional cigaret!!! Fortunately the guys at Vaporessance in Ft Worth have been super helpful they probably think I'm a nut because I've been in there 5-6 times in the last 11 days!!! (-:

I realize I'm paying a little more than I would with a quick Internet search but there help has been invaluable.

I walked in to one of the local stores after work yesterday and told the guy that was "helping" me that I needed a 510 to ego adapter. He said "what? you lost me".

That was 20 minutes of my life that I'll never get back. lol I really like that store, but a lot of the experience depends on who you get when you walk in.
