There's really no way to tell exactly. People have formulas but it's pretty much guesswork. No one knows exactly what percentage of the nicotine we actually get when we vape. Some say as low as 10%, some say 30%, some say higher.

The average is 3-5 ml per day. You probably vape much more when you first start. Different pv's also use different amounts of juice. When I used the tank I used double the amount of juice.

It's 18mg per ml. Yes. And I think the average is that people vape about 3 ml per day. That's the average....I vape probably 6ml per day. At least on some days, I do....it may vary. If I'm just home hanging out, I tend to chain vape and I can easily go through 5-6ml per day. If I'm busy, out-and-about and it's not that convenient, I can vape as little as 1-2 ml per day and not mind it.

I vape mostly 18mg juice....sometimes 12mg.....can't really tell much difference.

18mg is per mL, and how that equates to a regular pack of smokes is anyone's guess.
Vaping you absorb the nic differently, and as you asked the amount of juice makes a difference.

18-24mg is usually a pretty good starting point for about a pack a day smoker, you can adjust
up or down as YOUR body dictates. Most will vape about 2-3mL per day, but some are as
low as 1 or as high as 6-10mL, depends on you.
If you're getting enough nic to keep you off smokes, and you aren't getting dizzy or headaches,
that's your level. Everyone has their own level they are comfortable at...

I listen to what my body tells me. I vape 6-7ml 's a day. If I go under that, I get grouchy and out pops the claws. I smoked 4 PAD so I wouldn't go by what "statistics" tell you....go by what your body tells you. If you get cravings, up your nic or vape more. If you get light headed, lower your nic or vape less. There's different ways to resolve the problem but nothing is set in stone.

Thanks to both of you.... I started vaping about a week ago, I went thru a 15ml bottle....Ima guess about two ml per day, so thats 36mg nic per day, and I kicked (am kicking) a pack and a half to 2 PaD habit... so Im not doing to bad really... my cigs were 1.67mg x 30 = 50mg per day.... WOW good for me!!... sorry I was talking to myself

It has to a lot do with nicotine uptake into your system as well which is much less with ecigs and also can vary from person to person based on brain chemistry and such. They don't bother putting all those crazy additives and chemicals in cigarettes cause they feel like spending more money on R&D and production, that's for sure.

Kinda, sorta, not really..... :) the good news, vaping you are only getting about 40-50% of the nicotine into your bloodstream. So 36mg X 50% = 18mg.
Also the 1.67mg is what a mechnical smoking pump gets from a cigarette...

This is the basic problem in trying to equate the mg of nic you smoked directly into the mg of nic you're vaping. There is just no easy equation you can plug in.

At 24mg I would lay down in the bed at night and struggle with the heebie jeebies. In the mornings I felt like I'd just recovered from the flu. Currently I'm on the 12mg band wagon.

From my mixing days... 12mg is a weight per ml. Milliliter is a volume. Milligram is the weight. Someone else mentioned that in this thread.

Some important data is missing in your equation. The 100's of chemicals and carcinogens in analogs. By comparison to ecigs there really isn't any. So I think your doing an infinite amount of better than you think.

No... I totaly agree which is why I am so happy with vaping... but being addicted to nicotene isnt really that cool.... but knowing that I am not increasing my nicotene intake ( substantially, if at all) makes me even more comfortable. It blows me away thinking that a week ago I smoked twoish packs a day and at this time I cant believe that people still smoke cigarettes when there is such a safer (and very similar) alternative.

Where I usually am
what I mean is... I vape 18mg liquid.... is that 18mg per ml or??....also is 1 ml equal to a pack of cigs or a half pack or ???

any thoughts or insight would be helpful.

Also I am wondering how much liquid does everyone vape a week or a day or whatever... I am curious if I am going thru a lot of liquid or average or what.
well....if you think about it, one whole entire cig can produce up to 3.5 milligrams of nicotine. Some reports of 0.3 to 0.5mg per drag.... I have heard many studies from folks on ECF to youtube on this subject in the past about "how much nic am I vaping comparing to an annalog"..... To me it"s all different. So far it sounds.."and feels" like 10 puffs off of 24mg nic ejuice= 1 cig... How do you really know? different brands - 100's / kings.......
I myself would like to know the real answer..

The pv makes a huge difference in juice usage. On my old 801 I was about 1.5-2 mL/day on my RIva it's 2-3mL/day. Basically the more vapor your pv produces the more juice you go through.

Also I wouldn't even bother trying to distaste it to cigs = X drops. I tried when I started and really couldn't find a reliable calculator. Just cape what you need.

"Dwindcatcher" The PV does make a difference. The difference is in voltage-- in how much heat is creating a vapor....and of coarse the type of atty or cartomizer you use to vape!! Long drags / short drags etc.... The big question is, is how much milligrams of nic during vaping do you get to equal one analog.

""Just cape what you need."" exactly!! when you feel like you have had your fix, your good....
As far as vapor, I mix vg with water or pg... the vg helps create a lot of vapor but still dosn't change how much nic intake I get or the amount of juice I use:)
BTW, I vape 10mg nic at about 2.5mil to 3.5mil each day...... Chain Vapor...LOL!
