All right, so I apologize for the fuzzy details but I can't remember for the life of me what the mod in question is called, nor do I have a picture. It's a bottom feeder mod, and I'm 99% sure it's a VV. I believe it has a dial of sorts on the front, and I've seen it compared to the REO Grand frequently. What really stands out to be is the phenomenally steep price; to the best of my recollection it was close to, or more than, 300 dollars. If my memory serves my correctly, it only comes in black. The final detail I remember is it may not even have been released yet, but rather on the horizon. The last time I looked at it, however, was when I purchased my REO in January and I wasn't going to order this Mystery mod in question due to the steep price even if it had been available, but really... this is just bugging me. Any ideas as to what this might be would be greatly appreciated!

The decision is made even easier by the fact that it isn't for sale. They released it a few months ago only to recall it over pump problems. There was word from one of the developers about a month ago that the project isn't dead... but they aren't much for communicating with the vaping community or their customers, so who knows: It may be re-released tomorrow or next week or next month or next year or a decade from now or maybe never or....

Too bad they don't communicate. They might have gotten some loyalty from people in return for communication. Now the VVPV is out and the VV REOs are on the near horizon. Even if they ever do re-release it, they won't be able to get three hundred bucks a piece for them.

You said it, six. Besides, I can't speak for anyone else, but as much as I truly love my REO and love the bottom feeding aspect of it, I already have a VV device (Provari). So even if the EQ were for sale and worked perfectly, I have an excellent bottomfeeder already and an excellent VV that together cost only slightly more than what they were trying to get for the EQ. I'm not surprised it had to be recalled; the whole set-up looks incredibly complicated and when I was paying closer attention to what was going on with the EQ situation it seemed they were in a rush to get the first bunch out. Then I ignored it since I didn't order one. I feel like not a whole ton of us would bother spending 300 dollars on a single device when, again, you could get two great mods (or more!) from various companies at the same or less amount of money. Obviously, that's a blanket statement that also has to do a lot with the fact that I own similar devices already... if you are someone who would spent 300 dollars on a single mod, no judgment from me.

The thought of a VV REO does make my mouth water, though. The only issue I have with it is it looks like it's still a bit behind the times in terms of changing the voltage. Do you know if it will require a screwdriver? I couldn't tell from the short part of the video I watched. I don't have time to watch the entire thing right now. I've gotten really spoiled with the ProVari's digital menu system. That VVPV looks pretty nice too, and looks like a slightly easier way to fiddle with the setting. I can't spend another damned cent on mods right now, though, since I just spend an unspeakable amount of money on juice and parts. Such is life.

No screwdriver necessary. It has a thumb wheel. REO gets the electronics from Notcigs, so the Buzz pro, infinity Pro, VVPV, REO VV Woodville, and REO VV Grand all have the same electronics.

The VVPV is a really nice device. I haven't seen a thorough review yet, but I think we should be expecting one from mwa102464 and maybe one or two other people pretty soon (I'm just guessing/making assumptions - I haven't actually seen anyone say that they are going to do a review). I think the VVPV might end up becoming my favorite. There were a couple of glitches with the very first batch (including mine) but those issues have been addressed. I'm hoping mine is on its way back to me soon.

Yeah that was the EQ, the officail reason for recall was that the 510 connection wasn't sealed with epoxy or whatever and was instead just press fit into the device, juice leaked inside from there and made that finger wheel useless and fried the electronics inside. I had #3. Here is a picture of it enjoying its recall trip back to Digital Ciggz:
