Does anyone really vape at ~200 watts?

I'm vaping an XCube II, with an Aspire Cleito, running factory stock 0.4 ohm SS coils.
Although the device is capable of 180 watts, in TC mode, I'm seeing peaks of 55-55.5 watts. With an average puff duration of 2-2.5 seconds, I never hit the 470f temperature limit I've got it set for. (LOVE the Bluetooth functions, just wish I could separate them from the rest of the :censored: social media app that comes with them)
I feel like the guy that drives a Corvette on his daily commute

Yep highly inefficient atpomizers.
I get the same amount and temperature of vapor from a STM at 20w as I do from a TFV4 with hex coil at 50 watts.

TFV8 is a hole nutter kettle of fish from the 4

The 8 is a nicotine injection MACHINE.

I'd like to claim to be clean and sober from the nic demon but I'm as much a nic demon now as I was 18 months ago.

But one thing I am so over is needing something in my hand all the time. The TFV8 lets me inject a massive amount of nic in a short time and not need to always have a mod close. This is great at work as I can take a couple mighty whacks and go hours without my nic.

That said 200w is nice but a bit much for me unless I do 2mg. So I do 4mg at 100w and LOVE IT.

Or you could do 18 mg nic at 18 watts.

30 watts is my sweet spot, and I've got a RX200. If I'm feeling adventurous, I might go up to 40 watts. Anything over that is just too darn hot.
Have you tried other coils and other tanks from what you currently use? something more serious?
For example when i use my RDAs i can't even get it hot lower than 65w, so i vape with RDA around 85w

I have, and I don't like a hotter vape. My current build and setups are my sweet spot. I like a smooth, cooler vape.

That's not to say that I won't eventually change in the distant future. Two years ago I was a Tootle Puffer who never went over 15 watts (Kayfun Lite Plus RTA at 1.5 ohm on a Provari) and who said I'd never sub-ohm. ;)

I can achieve the same results as the TFV8 with my TFV4 with one of the RBA decks, the TFV4 already in my opinion is an inefficient device to begin with, the TFV8 is even more so. Most efficient flavor build is still a Triple coil, most efficient clouding build is still a quad coil or dual parallel. Once you go past 4 wires in a coil setup power efficiency plummets and gains only climb minutely and fractionally for that cost of power. Needing to compensate with a large mass of metal to achieve your goals, need to step back and look at your wicking and airflow and how to improve those.

I'll take less power being used and less batteries being burnt out faster that gets me to just as great a flavorful vape and cloud over destroying my batteries and devices with to much heat hand stress just to power a coil setup with an ounce of metal mass that takes over 100 to 120 watts just to get a decent fart out of it any day.

I was just wondering, with all these 200 watt and now even 300 watt devices, does anyone really vape at that power? My guess is that it's just a marketing game, that, and longer vape times.
I tried! And after I was picked up off the floor I said I'd never do that again!
