Does battery life improve?

So most of you know I just received my PV the other day and I must say I'm disappointed with the battery life. I've got the 18650 2000 mah from provape. They have lasted about 8-9 hours each. Now my old ego style 1100 mah would last me 12+hours so I thought I would be fine. But that was also on a 3.7v device. I know some li-on batts can be conditioned and last longer after several initial full charges, cell phones, cordless power tools etc...also I can get another 2 hours by taking out the batt and reinserting while its blinking. Also wondering if this can do any damage to the batt or circuitry. Thoughts? and thanks

I don't believe battery life will improve.

It will depend on what ohms and voltages your using on the device.

AFAIK the batteries show up in a good condition, and shouldn't require conditioning. From my reading conditioning isn't really required with Li-Ion cells.

Though I'm not 100% on any of it yet, have just done a lot of reading. Only just got my provari and AW IMRs today so learning all this myself

I just got my ProVari too. I'm using the 18490 batteries and each one lasts me about 8 hours. I'm a pretty heavy vaper.

And I've tried that "take the batt out while it's blinking thing." It just keeps blinking. I don't get anymore time from the battery.

Relax guys. Don't fret too much about about battery life especially if you just got the Provari. With any new toy, you tend to tinker with it more because it is new. I myself played the LCD checking battery, checking resistance, etc a minimum of 5 times per day on the first couple of days, but now I even get through the day without looking at the LCD. Less LCD tinkering, longer battery vape life.

Well that's the only thing that bugs me, my 18650 should last 4 or so hours longer and I'm not a heavy vaper, but a steady one...if that makes sense.

what is the resistance of the atomizer or carto youre suing and what voltage? Those play a role in battery life

Latexyankee use determines battery life. Higher voltage and/or lower resistance means more amperage being used, which means less battery life. Comparing using a provari at say 5v on a 2.0ohm dc, to an ego at 3.2v (for regulated ones) or 3.7v (unregulated ego nominal output or vari voltage actual output under load on anything you set from 3.7v or above) won't translate. Less amperage is being used by the ego, so longer battery life.

I'm a heavy vaper, if I only use the Provari all day, go through 4-5 2000mah or 1600mah aw imr batts. Doesn't mean the batts are bad, I just vape a lot.

You must have got some bad batteries because my Provari with a 18350 last as long as my ego did between charges.
