From what Ive read...does a burnt taste mean the carto is ruined? What am I doing wrong to cause this after 3 light days of vaping? I boiled them for 4 minutes the 2nd day just to clean the overpowering 24 mg nic out of them.o I added Humco VG (1/2) to lower strength, too. But, they seemed waterlogged after that and taste changed to burnt....yes I blew and blew -even after 7 hrs of sitting out to dry. Have I ruined them? Plus Im not getting 3 ml in these things...they are Leo cartos - not the LRs. I think Ive ruined them. Ive been using regular carts/attys because they taste better -not great but better- and from all Ive read...that isnt right. Cartos are supposed to be better tasting right? Ive ordered LRs -my supplier didnt have them but it will be a few days til I get them. Dont wont to start smoking again...Any suggestions? Should I boil them again????

it's really difficult to get all the water out of cartos after cleaning. the leaking may be because there's still water, or you could be losing juice down the center hole. i wouldn't recommend boiling them again.

You can clean the atty- but the burnt taste with it may be that you don't have enough juice in the cart.

There are ECF members in Texas- North Texas Vapers and Tejas Vapin

or you could try the PIF emergency thread if you can't get either the cartos or atty working. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...rgency-needs-read-rules-pm-pif-moderator.html

I'm thinking your wick tube had a hole burned through. I did this so many freaking times when I first started that I almost gave up vaping. They're tough to dry out, but if you can, dry it completely, then try adding either cheap juice or plain vg. If it leaks after just a few drops, your wick tube is almost certainly shot.

In my experience, the very first little hint of burnt taste is ok as long as you get it refilled pronto. If you catch it too late though, holes form in the wick tube, and then you're screwed.

Edit: oops, zombie thread. My bad
