Seriously, does it bother anyone else that the handful of celebrities who vape, with their millions of dollars that could afford them the coolest mods in existence, are all vaping convenience store e-cigs? What the hell!?!? Are they so pampered that they won't even do a google search on their own? We could really use a celeb who successfully quits a long smoking habit using "advanced" e-cigarettes with clearomizers, flavored E-juices, etc.

They're being paid an absolutely terrifying amount of money to promote those products, most (if not all) of which are owned by tobacco companies.

Honestly, I will not lie, I think Blu is tremendously smart when it comes to how their brand looks. The new $35 kit is fantastic to look at. Great lil charger kit, great looking batteries. Thing is, they don't turn on after 6 days, and include 1 faulty battery and 3 burnt cartos. Horrible quality.

Truth is though, my Blu, for the 4 days the charger kit and cartos that worked, produced a pretty darn good amount of vapor. I'm sure the celebrity's get a kit that works, and if they do, I'd use it if I were them. I'm switching to bigger set-ups, but I'm not leaving the house with it; going out, I'll still send my Blu in for repairs and fool with that.

Personally, I wish more celebs were even seen with the cigalikes; I've never once in my entire town saw a public person smoking an e-cig. It just doesn't happen, even with Blu being in every gas station and Walgreens. But it's probably because they throw them away a week later!

Shoot, if I had Njoy send me as many Njoy Kings as I want like Bruno Mars, I wouldn't even own any PV. Why bother? Fiddling, refilling, rebuilding. Just open a brand new one everytime I want to vape.

That's what I was thinking. They can afford it, so why bother with the maintenance, etc. that is part and parcel of vaping.

Just kids on the playground. They understand mom and dad got them GAP clothes because they demanded them, but they won't alter them unless there is a payoff.

Being in the spotlight I am sure has some influence. Be that a promotional offer or the fact that carrying a tank on a MOD may be a bit extreme for their image. This will eventually evolve for better or worse. If vaping takes hold in larger numbers you may see more interesting devices. Right now the cool kids are just using smoke-a-likes in general. In the end it will benefit the rest of us as long as some variety pops in from time to time.

I don't know they get paid for it. The tobacco companies probably give them away for free like the pharma companies give doctors free samples of their medicines. If the patient tolerates it, then the doctor will write the prescription. All they're asked to do is to use them in public. It's a great publicity campaign.

Blue obviously has the cool image, market recognition, and financial backing to be the most visible right now. It's just a shame that the system most newbies will reach for is so poorly made that, once they see it's limitations, their opinion of e-cigs is likely to be colored forever.

Plus, they surely could have found a better celebrity pitchman for their commercials...although it's probably the highest-paying gig Deacon Fr...I mean Steven Dorff has had since 'Blade'.

I'd bet the last thing Courtney Love did for free was Kurt.
