Does massive cloud production automatically equal hot vapor?

The newer AFC valve base should look like this:

Here's some info on the different rba's: KangerTech SUBTANK Mini
Hmmm, I *think* I've got that afc. Was the old one significantly different? Did a quick google search and didn't find much.

Yes the earlier one looked something like this:

Rad, that's the one I've got! Thank you.

If the thing is making more vapor but you aren't sucking down more, yes it will get hotter. Just setting airflow looser isn't enough by itself because the controller isn't what makes the air flow, you do.

Right on, thanks :)

I've gotten some conflicting opinions from people
Their gear is what is shaping their opinions, different setups, different airflow will give all sorts of different temperatures of vape...

My subtank mini would get hot as well though..... To get a big enough cloud with lots of vapor but keep the heat down I would really have to haul on it hard, it would get quite loud as well..

Here's an old vid with my stm...

After a puff you can literally hear the suction pop because of how hard i'm pulling on it lol..

I have some Subtank Minis and with the .5 ohm coil at 30 watts I get plenty of vapor and flavor. Not as much as my TFV4s but decent clouds. My Diy juice is 70/30. the lower the pg the worse the throat hit. You can try adding a couple of drops of Everclear or 100 Proof Vodka to your juice to increase your throat hit, but I would recommend that you save your subtank mini for out and about use and get an RDA for use at home. Wotofo Sapor or Lush are decent affordable authentic RDAs with easy build decks or a Tsunami is easy to build on great flavor and clouds. Your Rda Juice can be more of a 50/50 blend since you are dripping, whereas putting too thin of a juice in your subtank will leak. All of the RDAs I mentioned are under $30

I've seen the Kangerbox in action, and it's not a cloud chasing machine.

You need a good tank that has both good airflow, and a coil with decent surface and good wick flow. Also the more VG, the denser the cloud.

I'm not really a cloud chaser myself, but I'm more in between, I enjoy a good cloud, but not to the point of calling upon Zeus to show up.

I've seen some "pros" go at it with really crazy multi-coil setups and the 200W mods, while my humble Eleaf (TC60W with Melo 2 tank) actually being not that "embarrassing" at all. When I bought it, the store owner had yet to see one in action, and we put it together and tested it, he was actually surprised at it.

One thing, for me, I absolutely love vertical coils, I find them to be a tad better, less spitting, better wicking, and excellent airflow.

And about heat and Temp. control... you don't get more clouds from hot, once you hit the temp. that the liquids are vaporizes, hotter will NOT make them vaporize more. I only use Temp. control now and love it... it anything, a good setting means that you can keep pulling without burn, so more clouds, temp. stays the same.
