I have tried quite a few flavors from different sellers and have come to a "scientific:2c:" conclusion.

I use 901s and 510s with batteries and passthroughs. I drip only (2 drops). No carts. For a while, I used different juice with the same atomizer. Cleaning them every 2-3 days in just boiling water. They lasted a month on average. But then I got Cohiba from stricktlyejuice and I lost 5 atomizers in 2 weeks. 3 901s and 2 510s. By lost I mean no continuity when tested with a volt meter. The coil was broken.

I bought five 510 atomizers and decided to use one of them for the cohiba only. That died in 4 days.

I had also bought Pina Colada from stricktlyejuice. So I dedicated another atomizer to this flavor. The atomizer went through the entire 30ml bottle and performed as well at the end as it did when brand new. To date, the same atomizer has vaporized four 30ml bottles of Pina colada and still vapes like the first day. Thats over 4 months. The wick under the bridge is still white. No gunk. Once a week or two the cleaning I do is, put it in a plastic bottle with boiling water and shake it for a minute. Blow through the battery end with a paper towel stuffed in the other end. Wipe dry the contacts, put in 4 drops and vape (4 drops to prime a dry wick. 2-3 drops for regular top-up). No overnight drying, etc.

I would like to find other "clean" ejuice to try. By clean I don't mean colorless. The pina colada is pinkish and the cohiba was clear and that didn't stop it from killing 6 atomizers. Please only post the ones YOU have "tested" for a while. Preferably with a dedicated atomizer.

I have tried many flavors but I can only draw a conclusion on these two.

My Conclusion with regards to atomizer life. Not taste, vapor, etc:
Cohiba (From Strictlyejuice)=Bad (Atty died in 4 days. 5 died within 2 weeks)
Pina Colada (From Strictlyejuice)= Excellent (4 months and still going strong)

DIY with Flavourart flavorings. I have a couple of 510 atomizers that are now over a year old, and they're my daily go-to atomizers. When I used commercial liquids, I needed to clean every 3-4 days. I just finished going 3 weeks without cleaning, it was finally starting to draw a little hard. The Flavourart flavorings aren't always colorless, but the liquids are always known to me (PG, glycerine and PGA/vodka/water, and flavoring) and are clear.

BTW, a white wick isn't necessarily a sign of a clean atomizer. I had a box mod switch stick in the "on" position, and didn't notice it until smoke and smell came pouring out of the cartridge. The cartridge melted, I mean really MELTED and the atomizer is black inside. But, there's no burnt flavor after cleaning and it vapes better than new. The cartridge was ruined, I didn't trust the battery any more since it discharged a LOT, and the box mod also melted. But the atomizer is one of my favorites.

UR correct. Clarity doesn't mean that much. Sugar solution is clear, but don't vape it unless you want yuck atties. lol.

Atomizer death can be variable and attributed to many causes, including vaping style. Nichrome wire burns through when too hot. Just one extra vape on an atty that needs refill goes a long way to get it hotter. Also, I'd be interested in recipes that had a little bit of water in them... wonder if that makes a difference.

I don't know how to do a "scientific" study unless it was performed mechanically, so the results could be averaged over several different atty samples in addition to several juice samples.

Also, different juices may leave different residues that may or may not be water soluble. Alcohol is another cleaner that may vary lifetime. So does the equipment.

I guess we just have to collectively go by experience and our best guess. I agree that, even from the same vendor, some juice flavors/recipes seem to require atty cleaning more than others. I'll try to see if I can find a clear stand-out winner over the next few months. If I do, I'll post back here and try to be part of your quest-for-clean-juice.

I find the question interesting. It might help more to know the recipes. I had great luck with DIY using LorAnn, PA and FA. I'm using a pre-mix right now that seems fairly "clean" but kind of chemical tasting and I don't know the recipe nor the flavor vendor. Also, the flavor is not as strong. So I think that flavoring strength comes into play, in addition to the particular flavors and other ingredients.

Also, I tend to clean atties by blowing them out twice a day, and rinsing with water or Isopropyl Alcohol about every other day. I keep them a long time with lots of different juices and flavors. My biggest atty killer was dry burning (done badly by me). Also some connector issues. Not sure if I've ever really lost an atty due to juice, but I suppose if it was gunked up, it would get too hot.

So...

Does the kind of ejuice you use affect the atomizers lifespan? My answer is Yes!!!

Yeah, I somewhat agree. But it also depends on your cleaning frequency. If you only clean once every week or two (like you said), you will build up too much "gunk" and get the wire too hot. Some juice may build up gunk slower than others. The atties die because of the wire burning through (loss of continuity as you said).

On the other hand, if a juice doesn't gunk up an atty, it may never quit... unless you get it too hot by not keeping juice in it.

Don't get me going on cleaning frequency or solutions.... oh man. Some people say they never clean em, but they blow em out and run a lot of juice through them (which I consider a form of cleaning... lol :) ). Good Luck!

Just a quick update on the atomizer I use exclusively with the pina colada. It is still working great. Thats over 7 months total. Vapor is still as much as the first day. The wick under the bridge is still white. No gunk. And I haven't cleaned it in over a month and a half.

I am still trying to find more juice like this. I am trying a few more flavors with other atomizers, but it takes time to arrive at a conclusion.

I would like to know if anyone has had similar success with any ejuice.

I've had great success with Chinese liquids in all PG until I became sensitive to PG liquids. Had some terrible success with many commercial USA made liquids, but definitely the ultimate success with DIY. I vape all VG diluted with 20% H2O and FA flavourings. Outside BlueMist caramel tobacco, all my liquids I vape are DIY. Atty longevity 3-4 months + without cleaning.
