Hi, I am having a problem. I make liquid for me and my friends. The problem I am having is with flavour loss with higher nicotine dosages. For instance, when I make a 12mg strength liquid, the flavour is there. U can really taste it. When I make it with 21mg, I can hardly taste the flavour. I used the same % of flavouring. Why does this happen and how can I compensate?

Thanks

What is the strength of your nic base? If it's low - like 30 or something - then the extra carrier base might mask flavors more than the base you add for dilution. Obviously, the higher strength your nic base is the less actual nic-liquid you put in to raise the final strength.

Also - all, or at least most, unflavored nic bases have a flavor - some stronger than others. If your nic base has a strong flavor it could be masking your added flavors.

Yes. I use vg base unflavoured 60mg. Its weird, when I make no nic liquid, flavour is fantastic. So maybe the nic does have a strong flavour and is masking the taste. What options are there? BTW I use RTS nicotine. Should I try another brand??

I also use RTS as well as WL. I haven't noticed any strong flavoring at all with either brands. Does your nic have a strong odor to it? You might want to get a nic test and see what your nic is testing at. I would do this before anything else. Nic tends to degrade over time and will decrease in strength over time as well as yellow. Just to be safe so you know you have good nic.
