Lets review, last year, the end of vaping would be in July, then August, then October, then December. This year, it was springtime, then June, after June it will be July...

Velvet cloud graphics were mentioned to be cartoony.

They remind me more of clip art with a cartoonish flare. But more like clip art.

I agree, they remind me of really nice, hand made greeting cards, or artisan soap labels. However, the fruits have smiley faces on them, and there's a juggling cookie... I'm afraid some would see them as "marketing to children."

Actually it was 2 years ago that vaping would end every few months, not just last year, just like it was banned, but not really, in Indiana or anywhere else...

I still don't buy it. If I were to market to children, I would try to sell them ready for use cigalikes, not pieces of the rebuildables puzzle. What's the potential kanthal market "for the children"?

I've Ignored Steve, So if he says anything worthwhile others will have to inform me. I doubt it, but you never know. BTW, this is my first ignore... gratz Steve! I apologize to the group by being sucked into his madness and losing focus on the topic at hand.

One other thing that Mitch Zeller said is that he intends to finalize the deeming regs in June of 2015. There may have been enough pushback from vapers to postpone that some, but Mitch hasn't changed that timeframe that I'm aware of. If that is the case, we are in the end stage of the deeming regs and I really think vapers should be very concerned at this time. Any ideas anyone has to get more vapers involved, now would be a great time to discuss it.

I'm a little concerned that I haven't received any communication from CASAA lately regarding this, and I'm more concerned that CASAA has focused more on mitigating the regs by pushing for things like extending the grandfather date of juice and devices rather than defeating the deeming regs altogether. This has me worried more than anything I guess. Any insight you all have regarding this would be appreciated.

AMS has numerous smoking booths and don't care about vaping. Delta doesn't have a direct flight from the US to Vienna...

Honestly though, I find the people who do the same thing he does, without realizing it, even more frustrating. This isn't directed at anyone in particular, but this is how threads like this tend to go, and I'll use this topic as an example though the same applies to other topics as well:

Side A: Cartoon illustrations are bad because they're marketing to teens.
Side B: They're not actually marketing to teens, teens can't buy the stuff, and in most cases won't see ever see it.
A: well it makes it more attractive to kids, and it's deadly poison if they drink it.
B: well, it's not really "deadly poison," the really harmful stuff is concentrated and doesn't come in bright packaging, and has warning labels and CRP. The label has nothing to do with it.
A: Kids like this type of stuff, they see it, they'll drink it.
B: if you have small children, keep this away from them, it says so on the bottle. Also, don't leave the cap off.
A: but marketing to kids is bad.
B: I agree, it's a good thing none of this is marketing to kids
A: but others will see it as marketing to kids
B: well, they're wrong too. Here's a bunch of facts why it's not harmful, it's not being marketed to kids. They use the "for the children" argument to get us to surrender.
A: But we need to protect the children from nicotine
B: *bangs head against wall*

It's certainly very clear that you've been paying attention to this thread and the other one that's been dragging along on the same subjects for what seems like weeks now... months, maybe. It's easier to change an ANTZ's mind than some VAPERS' minds about how we should be "compromising" despite never coming up with anything the ANTZ are prepared to surrender in order to make it a TRUE compromise.

No quarter. No surrender. No rationalizing. No compromising. I'm fully aware that the FDA and the rest of the clueless gov't is going to do whatever the hell it wants to, but I don't have to like it, I don't have to give in willingly, I don't have to surrender anything. In the immortal words of Don Henley... "I will not lie down; I will not go quietly; I WILL NOT LIE DOWN."

I was listening to The End of the Innocence tonight, and I swear that man is a prophet.
