I haven't tried adding distilled water, but if you "Search Forums" for keywords "water throat hit," you'll see some posters who say it does increase TH. You'll also see some posters who argue it does not.

Distilled water is produced by condensing the steam from boiling water. Simply boiling a pot of water for a bit does not make it distilled.

I add Water to All my DIY Mixes.

I don't think it Increases TH. I do think it does help with Flavor though. Water seems to take the Edge off many Flavors. It lets them taste like Flavors and less like Chemicals. It's Kinda Hard to Explain.

Thinning a 100% VG Mix with Water is Almost a Necessity to me. Pure VG is Too Think to use by itself. And makes an e-Liquid that Doesn't Wick very Well.

Adding the water makes the flavorings taste clearer to me. The taste fades on the tongue, like eating or drinking something. Water is a wonderful thing. ;)

I've been told that RO water is on the acidic side of the PH scale.

Put some of your RO in a clean clear glass and let it evaporate. See if there is any residue left behind.

It may be ok for occasional situations but for regular use why not buy a gallon of distilled. BTW I wouldn't boil it either. Your pan may contaminate it.
