Tribeca, 18mg is the bottle in the middle. :) My speech is on the 25th, but started this early so I could get plenty of material for it.

Funny story....I gave my nephew my G6 as long as he promised to quit the analogs (he smoked Newport). He's just a kid (18) and if he's gonna do nic then I figure he should do it the "clean" way while still looking cool :2cool: He's just a kid but old enough to make stupid, kid decisions like we all did....anyway, I gave him some Subzero and said check this out but be careful cos it's got....well "a set" shall we say. He's a typical kid thinkin he's all gangstah and stuff so he smirks at me and hits the tank hard a few times...when all of a sudden he clutches his throat with both hands and gasping the words "oh my god"...all the while I'm laughin so hard, tears are rollin...he regains his composure and says "wow, that was really good"....LOL....does it make me sound like an old man when I say "friggin kids?"

My speech is November 25th, so I have a few weeks to collect your answers and plug some into my speech.

My Questions for everyone:

1. If you were an analog user: How long were you using analogs before you switched? 22 yrs a pack a day

2. How long have you been using a PV without analogs? 2 weeks today

3. Do you use both analogs and a PV? Before I found Halo triton, I was trying logic, bluu and eon smoke ecigs, they worked ok, but I found myself smoking analogs as well, not as much but still had the craving for one, now that I vape the triton, I have no urge to have a real cig

4. Economically speaking, how much have you saved using a PV compared to your old analog habit? $127 dollars after 2 weeks of no analogs, which has allready paid for the triton starter kit

5. What was the reason you switched to PVs in the first place? I have tried every possible way to quit, patch, gum, chantix, cold turkey, cig a like ecigs, none worked, Halo triton has been my savior along with there delicious ejuice

6. Have you noticed any health benefits? (Better breathing, etc?), breathing is much better, fatique is much better, I can walk up a flight or 2 of stairs without breathing heavy, sense of smell and taste are getting better.

7. How did you find Halo? Actually there was a thread on my RC forums about vaping, saw halo and some other brands mentioned, decided halo was the best, 0 negative reviews, easy to use, good vapor production and top quality ejuice

8. (Halo is my favorite company out there, and my brand of choice.) There juice, batteries, tanks and anything else they sell are high quality, I am yet to see a negative review on anything they sell

I'll play.

1. If you were an analog user: How long were you using analogs before you switched?

Shockingly close to 30 years.

2. How long have you been using a PV without analogs?

Five weeks.

3. Do you use both analogs and a PV?

Nope. I quit the day my first order arrived, and I didn't mean to. When people congratulate me for quitting, I wave it off. They might as well congratulate me for breathing. Or blinking. It was that easy.

4. Economically speaking, how much have you saved using a PV compared to your old analog habit?

Alas, this is a question that's difficult, due to the short time I've been using ecigs. I've saved $320 from not buying cigs, but spent more than that on gear and juice (though not by much, by the end of this month I'll break even). I know it's overboard, but I'm set for many months at this point, if I don't give in to my strangely STRONG desire to buy more juice and gear, just to see if I like it.

5. What was the reason you switched to PVs in the first place?

The guy I like started using an eGo, enjoys it, and cut back drastically on his smoking. So, thought I'd give it a go (so to speak). Searching for information on the eGo led me pretty quickly to reviews of Halo, which is obviously what I chose.

I suppose it might be relevant that I've never really tried to quit. I mostly enjoyed smoking, but here and there I gave nicotine replacements a try, primarily when I knew I'd be in a place where I couldn't smoke for long periods of time. The gum was bitter, the disposable/Blus were unsatisfying, nothing was actually enjoyable. And none of the drugs (Wellbutrin, Chantix) appealed to me -ever-. A few times over the decades I'd sort of test out quitting, by not buying cigs when I ran out. Once, I made it to around 30 hours, and I thought I was going to lose my mind. I couldn't sleep. I couldn't think straight. Yeesh. Nicotine is a hellova drug.

My experience with Halo, the utter ease with which I quit smoking, is still shocking to me. I've already been able to drop from 18mg to 12mg without noticing.

6. Have you noticed any health benefits? (Better breathing, etc?)

Slightly, I'm noticing better breathing. Definitely noticing increased sensory details (smells and tastes). Mostly I can't get enough of how wonderful my clothes, hair, and apartment smell now.

7. How did you find Halo?

Woops, pre-answered that one.

8. (Halo is my favorite company out there, and my brand of choice.) If this is the same for you, please state the reasons you like Halo the best!

Well, my only real experience is with Halo. I will say that I feel confident that I purchased excellent devices, and the same can be said with regard to their juices. I feel very lucky to have found them right off the bat.

Hey, Lifewhacker.

I have to say that your post immediately caught my eye because I'm a communication professor who teaches at least one section of public speaking every semester. Best of luck on your speech!

I require my students to do two persuasive speeches--one on each side of an issue of their choice. One of my students delivered his pro-vaping speech last week (and I'll need to bite my tongue on the anti-vaping speech next week).

I'll be giving a persuasive speech about the benefits of PVs and Halo in particular for my communications class at my college.
Thanks!
So why Halo? Why do I recommend Halo to noobies, and not prov*** or innok***?

Cause it works. It looks cool. (I'm sure a lot of us made decisions on what anolog brand we'd use with some weight as to the image...) One stop, great quality product. Shipping is quick (but never fast enough, but isn't that always the way? Not Halo specifically, but anything I get online, if it isn't here in 2 days, it's too long, IMHO)

Once someone has tried a Blu or other gas station cheepies, and wants to give vaping a serious go, then Halo is the place. Even a G6 kit plus one of the sample packs (oh, and get a few more to get to the $75 free shipping) or I push the Triton.

Someone else here got a Prov**** thing, then had to wait for batteries, then had to get a bunch of tanks to see which one worked to her liking... You can't have a noobie go through that; they'd leave skid marks on their way to the 7-11 buying a pak o Reds.

With Halo, it's all engineered to work together. So open the box, charge one of the batteries, but fill the tank with some Tribeca (ya gotta get tribeca, I mean, come on!!!), and screw on the other battery (hoping there's a charge, cause you can't wait) and start making clouds with a silly grin...

Halo has the reputation, the products, the service, the help, and as I see it, the highest Love/Hate ratio as compared to anyone else.

(Standard "this is not meant to be a smoking cessation product" disclaimer be dammed) But you have to give the person something that will function right out of the box.

The "Why vape?" is easy. The "Why Halo?" is easier.

It occurred to me that while I tried to be encouraging, I didn't actually answer your questions! (I'm the epitome of an absent minded professor!)

Here goes:

1. If you were an analog user: How long were you using analogs before you switched?

28 years. I started smoking at age 16.

2. How long have you been using a PV without analogs?

One month.

3. Do you use both analogs and a PV?

No.

4. Economically speaking, how much have you saved using a PV compared to your old analog habit?

Honestly, I haven't saved a dime because I've become a little obsessed with my new hobby (vaping) and I've spent a small fortune. But, it's only been a month for me. According to my "quit smoking" calculator I've not spent about $700 dollars on analogs (I was a heavy, 3 pack a day, smoker).

5. What was the reason you switched to PVs in the first place?

I'm 44 years old, and I had a massive heart attack at the end of September. I'm not (much) overweight. I exercise regularly. The only risk factor that I had was smoking. So, honestly, the fear of God got me to quit.

6. Have you noticed any health benefits? (Better breathing, etc?)

My asthma is gone (no more inhalers) and my blood pressure is back to normal. In addition, I don't stink anymore!

7. How did you find Halo?

I did a search for the "best" e-cigs out there. Halo was consistently ranked very high.

8. (Halo is my favorite company out there, and my brand of choice.) If this is the same for you, please state the reasons you like Halo the best!

For the most part, I'm very impressed with the quality of Halo products.

Good luck, kiddo! This speech professor is rooting for you.

LOL, you've definitely got a point. And, he did get a little mocking from me after the speech when I said, "Okay, let's have a little fact check. . . "
