Great list, simple and straight forward. I can only find any fault with one line...

2. If you have been vaping for six months or longer, you may have reached equilibrium. This is where you are satisfied with what you have, and the cravings have, for the most part, gone away. Recognize that, and from then on, set your budget.

I've been vaping over 4 years, and don't have real intense cravings, BUT if vaping stopped, I would be back smoking in less than a week. I hope I'm not the only one who feels these mild what might be considered cravings....:vapor:

One thing to possibly add in somewhere...

If you're going to stock up on a particular item, carto, clearo, atty, RDA, wire or wick, be very sure it's something you want to use long term. Buying in bulk during a sale is great only if you continue to use what you buy. The vape scene changes so fast you can be left with an excess of version 1, or something that's quickly outdated.

I have 510 cartos w/filler, 808 Kanger horizontal coil cartos w/ filler, CE-2 clearos, etc, that I do use but not as my everyday vape. They won't go to waste but there are so many better options now.

Does blowing all my birthday money on vaping kit make me a bad person? - Hopefully not! Last weekend I had one of those significant birthdays which end with a zero and decided to "invest" (note, not just "spend" - that's how I'm justifying it to myself) my birthday money (from wife/ family) in a Smok RBST. I figured that it will be easier to build coils for that than it is for my Evod's/ Protank's (although I'm already doing that to save money). Also, the Smok RBST has a glass tank with a metal shield so (hopefully!) I shouldn't crack it with juices OR by knocking it over accidentally (done that a couple of times with my Protanks although so far no breakages).I did order a couple of ejuices at the same time as the price on clearance was about as cheap as I can DIY, and made sense since postage costs already covered it.

If you can afford it, go for it!!! If you can't afford it, don't bankrupt yourself. After all, some vendors pay to keep this website going. We don't want to bankrupt those kind souls.

Sounds like the perfect group for me Im in! Aside from wanting to be able to breathe again (and not have to stand out in 120 degree summer weather just to kill myself) its all about money for me! My habit aint going away but if I can keep it 'safer' and way cheaper than a $5 pack of Pall Malls a day Im all for it! The economy/employment SUCKS out here in the Coachella Valley so any little bit helps! You shouldve seen me foaming at the mouth for a week over a $23 Kanger starter set while I had to wait for my paycheck to show up haha.. Kept refreshing the stores site everyday to make sure it was still in stock since they were down to their last color..

Yup, breathing is good. And vaping may allow me to keep breathing longer :)

While it may take a bit to reach the "comfort level" of having enough hardware - different for all of us, of course - keep the goal in mind. Once you're comfortable with having enough backup gear, so you're not going to be left vapeless due to a failure or lost item (and that includes chargers!), then it's time to assess what you want from vaping.

Smoking cessation / harm reduction? As long as your vape is satisfying, you're there.

Hobby collecting? You're in the wrong thread

That is an excellent list, Omg! Should be helpful to anyone!! I'm not trying to be a dollar-a-day vaper, as I'm not planning to ever build my own coils or DIY eliquid, but I am at the point now where I've spent enough that it's ridiculous and am trying to cut it out!! Hoping to just stick to essential supplies now and not do any impulse buying!

I learned a long time ago that when you "impulse buy," you end up with stuff you didn't really want and certainly didn't need! Years ago, I started making myself wait at least a week before buying something I think I want, and it works well! Re vaping, I'm not sorry for all the stuff I bought, but by now I know what works best for me and don't need to try everything out.

Money is a big reason I quit smoking and I think I will be content pretty quickly. I have a ego-c twist and yeah, it loses power over time but it's only really noticeable for me close to the end of the charge. Don't see myself ever getting a provari or anything. And I just ordered an aerotank on sale for $14... if I'm happy with that setup I'll probably get a backup then it's a matter of finding an inexpensive juice I like. I am aiming for about a dollar a day in costs, compared to the $6/day in smoking.

DO get a backup, or two. Stuff happens. You can vape one while the other charges. A spare charger. Spare coils, or the kanthal and wick and some time on utube (and questions here on ECF :) ) to rebuild coils. (An inexpensive multi-meter or a battery with ohm check is essential for that, but it's really pretty easy.)

Right. I named it a dollar-a-day because it is a catchy phrase, but whatever budget you set for yourself is cool.

I have mixing my own nets and juices down, practically negligible. My biggest expense is the dual coil kanger coils. I found a knock-off for less than a dollar a piece at fast tech. But vaping nets you go thru one per day regardless authentic or not. That has been my biggest daily expense.

I have been fighting building Kaylight funs. Don't listen to the experts or the you-tube videos. There are a million ways to build these and those publized are very difficult for nets. There has been some recent activity to remendy this so I have my fingures crossed. At home I am golden I buy premade coils for my monkey dripper from fast tech for pennies a piece and nets love drippers.

I am switching to fruit flavor for the aerotank while at work, that should get me 2-3 days out of a coil.

Goil is less than $40 month which a believe is very attainable.

Hi, regal

I have two Kangers, an EMUS using a single coil and a mini Protank 3 using the double coil. I started researching coil builds, and read (somewhere on ECF) that you can use single coils for the PT 3. You would want to check this out for yourself to confirm, but since the dual coils cost 50% more than the singles, it might be worth looking in to.
