Whew...made it through the 4th without ordering anything!

To celebrate, I made a new base holder from the top of an old ego battery
and a broken leg from a bed frame.

Nice and light, sits flat.

Works really great for rebuilding my new kayfun Mini.

I barely spend any money on vaping because my salary is only about $6 USD per day and I have wife with four children. My friends and family around the world are constantly sending me things I add to my wish list on Facebook. I keep the list reasonable and nothing stays on it very long before somebody offers to send to me. I have 13 packages this year so far with mostly things like wire, wick, flavoring and batteries but I also got new charger and two mechanical mod clones and three RDA from Fasttech. I really have the best friends and family in the world. :)

Hi, All. New here today. I have too much stuff and all I need for DIY for years. I rebuild my coils. I'm actually trying not to buy anything from this point forward unless something breaks or I run out of a DIY flavor.

I'll be a good girl and confess any lapses. Hoping for none.
Hopefully you will also share with us your strategies for preventing lapses. That is also a part of the process of repentance.

Welcome Singaw. Your example shines, as well as those of your friends and relatives!!!!

Thank you. I just came back to read this thread and my wife looking over my shoulder said I actually make about $10-$12 USD per day and since my employer pays our house it is even higher but still not very much compared to many countries.

I find the biggest savings for vaping comes from DIY e-juice since it can be expensive to buy. For anybody who has not tried DIY e-juice I recommend it to save lots of money. I only make a few simple flavors because most fancy mixes I tried to make did not turn out very good. It is still nice to have a store bought e-juice for special times but my DIY gets me through most days.

I'm hoping this can help me!
I've been smoke free for 318 days!
I can't stop buying stuff I stopped keeping track at 4k!
I have 15 mods now a Hanna mod in the mail & a shan mod when the DNA 30 chips come in. I have 5 kayfuns 15 rda's! I have trident v1 - 3 version2 two stainless one gold & a gold clone of version1!
Who needs 6 tridents! No one!
It's a real problem because I can afford it! I make $25.60hr!
I was going to stop got my last check made $640 working the 4th of July double time & 1/2!
Got an email Hanna modz are in $250 & got the magma rda $90 still got 300 from one day!
I'm sure I sound like a jerk!
Mr money bags & his fancy stuff
But I really can't stop! I don't know what to do! I quit drinking 21 years ago when I was 23! It's harder for me not to buy stuff than it is to not drink! Maybe because I don't come out of a blackout in jail from shopping like I did back in the day!

Well, you have arrived at the first step. I have two vamos-- one is a limpalong backup. I have one VW ego for backup. That is all. I have thirty-some flavors, mostly in cheap clearos.

So are you going to get verified to unload your excess?

You know you have an addictive personality. Have you thought of going back to AA and work through some of those personality traits? How far away is Center City from where you live?

I don't know how old you are, or other circumstances, but maybe you ought to be investing some of that money in a retirement fund and/or house. Get yourself some goals and obligations to achieve those goals, right off the top of the paycheck.

Subbed.....I'm trying to nip it all in the bud quick. I started regularly vaping a few months ago. I graduated from a gas station bought V2cigs starter kit to an Ego-Vv kit and then a couple Kanger Aerotanks, several juices to test and sample. I figured I had a good handle on it but in the past month I've overshot my budget by far. I tell myself its just starting out gear to get me where I want to be. I mean, I made some good purchase decisions....I think...at least thats what I'm telling myself.

1. I went from gas station kits that require constant replacement to clearomizer with Ego Vv. Good right?

2. I decide I need more flavor and less dependence on purchasing clearos so I buy two Kanger Aerotanks, some Kanthal and cotton after seeing how the Kanger heads can be rebuilt. That way I can rebuild or use purchased heads if I'm feeling lazy....Good right?

3. Its the damn juice...err juice options....why are there are so so many to choose from? And why do they all sound so good? Bleh, 20 bottles purchased in July. But you have to sample right? Because I just need to figure out a few favorites and I can just stock those.

So...thats where my mind said I should hold ground but the shiny's are everywhere...and suddenly I'm Tim Allen from Home Improvement talking about "More Power" and grunting like a farm animal. :hubba:

4. Vaping NET's on an Ego was.....:nah: for me so...Tim takes over and what I need is "more power." Enter the Sig30w (which I LOVE btw and really did get at a great price of $74 delivered), batteries, charger....Ohh and more juice! :hubba:

5. Next conversation with myself goes something like - Self: "Man rebuilding these little Kanger heads is a pain....I really should get a full size RTA."...Which leads me to where I'm at today...back in control, I've kicked Tim off my property and put down the credit cards. I was about to spring for an Expromizer but it was out of stock so have decided for a Squape clone for now. It will do just fine for me.

It gets easier once we're stocked right??

Reading this thread has been good for me. I'm fairly new to vaping - just about two months (was a non-smoker before, so no cost saving comparisons for me!) and of course have had to spend on start-up costs - effectively five evod's, a couple of Protanks, some batteries and a charger in anticipation of the Vamo V5 and Launcher V2 on back order from Fasttech) plus a selection of juices of course. I've started rebuilding coils from early on, so a small quantity of wire and wick (will need more now that I'm happy I can manage it) and just started DIY juices (first couple of attempts gone ok - not great, but satisfactory). However I have caught myself making lots of little purchases, drip tips, spare heads, couple of bottles of juice etc almost daily now and realise that some of this is really "retail therapy" (trying to cope with just getting over severe health issues - three operations in the last three years and, during recuperation, my wife has been diagnosed with secondary spine/ liver cancer and I've become her carer). I don't regret starting vaping - the new interest, combined with low levels of nic to help calm my nerves, has saved my sanity - but don't want to let spending get out of control (those postage costs really mount up too!). It's a bit harder in the uk ( basically every dollar you spend translates to at least a £ here in the uk, making things 50 to 100% more expensive) but I figure I'm now about set up for a few months at least and should be better placed to just make a few "bulk" purchases of wire/ wick and diy juice ingredients when I do need to order again.

It's taken me about 6 months to find my happy spot and I'm finally there. I now have quality equipment that works for me, backups for everything, the flavors I like, a lifetime supply of nic, and DIY supplies to last quite a while. When smoking I learned how to get by at $1.25 a pack so it will take me another year to break even. But then I'm permanently in the black!
