I graduated to the eGo after my inital purchase of the 510 stick I bought around Halloween of 2011 at the flea market.

My daughter started with an eGO and used one for quite a while, successfully. One day she asked why a charge didn't last as long. I let her use my new Provari, I have seen it occasionally since that day but only in passing.

Hum. Now, I have to wonder. Thinking out loud, "Would the Provari and the eGo be grandfathered in as approved devices?"

I have become so confused about deeming, grandfathering and PTMA's, etc. that I no longer give them any thought. I have some mech's (REO with parts) as the ultimate backup, plenty of nicotine and the rest is used in to many other industries to have a concern.

No, they are both post 2006. There is really nothing that predates the 2006 grandfather clause and the FDA knew it.

No, neither were on the US market prior to Feb 15, 2007. As far as I know, there was no vape gear even on the US market before then with a small possible exception of a Ruyan model ecig. And lets face it, if there were any they would be worthless. Smokers struggled with that early vape gear. Heck, many (including myself) didn't even find suitable vape gear until the variable voltage ego was introduced (2012-ish I believe). That's what got me to make the switch an never look back. Regular egos and cigalikes just weren't powerful enough for many to replace smoking entirely and anything before that was even worse unless you felt comfortable using a mech.

My first ecig was a Smoke 51 Trio RN4081 model ecig and that thing was almost worthless, however it did put me on the road that lead me to today.
