There's nothing wrong w/V4Life products. They're just inferior to a bigger 3.7v batt like the Defender from VaporNine or any juice from a quality juice supplier like Tasty Vapor. Most if not all of the 5v and 3.7v and self juicing box mods also run cartomizers ALOT better.

Peace Out!

to be fair the defendor is the same as the elegant or any of the eGo/tornado/riva/t-rex/hello models...they're not truely a 3.7V device...just the defendor and elegant have native 808 threads...

and when it comes to that I'd go with an eGo first because with an approprite adapter at least the airflow is adjustable

EDIT:
With ya on the juice. I also prefer VaporNine's cartos.

Question on the Defender, though. I've been thinking of buying one of the bigger batts for some scenarios (still like the standard ones for writing, and going out at times, but it'd be nice to have a higher capacity one).

I opted out on the Elegant because I read it's lower voltage, and you can tell. I really like 3.7v. Is the Defender 3.7, or has it been tuned down like the Elegant? Do you know?
the defendor and the elegant are the same...look at the pictures and the descriptions side by side.. both 750mAh, both gold plated bands with a blue LED button...

much like the eGo and the tornado are the same thing...they're the same

pretty much all of the batteries in this form are the same as voltage goes...they drop em to 3.1 -3.2V and use a pulse modulation to get the battery life out of them that they have...

Ok. I'm pretty good with my batts now, but I may look into something like the Little Sister if I eventually get a mod.

I don't care for 5v, but I could see myself liking the 4v range. And it's pretty cheap and small. I may continue to look into that.

honestly for what it's worth...I'd try something actually pushing a true 3.7V....

*the caveat I'm saying that is unless you tried the 5V PT running on a 2A+ output device...you've likely experienced 5V at really a 4.xV level (because of voltage sag).... and the voltage sag of a stock battery not really delivering 3.7V either.....it'd be a good step (like do you notice any percieveable difference between a carto and your 901 atties (the resistance on the 901 is higher so the battery shouldnt "sag" as far to make it work (so should be percieved as a harder/warmer hit)))....

heat is an expression of wattage....and there's a couple of different ways to get where you want to go... and while it's new and cute you really want to take a good look at leashing yourself to a 10440 battery device...it's kinda limiting because of the battery max drain versus amp draw problem...you'd serve yourself better by trying a wetbox with high drain 14500s... or waiting for the big brother variable that should be out soon with high drains in it....

of course you're always welcome to do what you like...but from a technical standpoint....I just gotta say that 10440 batteries are kinda crippling

I don't get it.

All these people who think they understand electronics... and no one has even asked the right question, or provided the right information.

I don't have the right answer- but the correct question is:

Other than anecdotal evidence and experience, what is the actual temperature difference, on a stock atty, between 3.0 and 3.7-4.0 volts on different mHa batteries?

I could pull out the equipment and inform all you tree bangers. But I won't.

Because I'm TOO BUSY USING MY EQUIPMENT TO STAY OFF CIGARETTES.

I'm going to go blind from all the tech talk here and I can't believe I'm going to ask a question.

I am also looking into the variable voltage Little Sister and I was noticing that they have high drain 10440 batteries listed. Is this what I want?

Cozzicon, what is the actual temperature difference, on a stock atty, between 3.0 and 3.7-4.0 volts on different mHa batteries? ;)

Could you tell us? I'm dying to know.

lol a dry stock joye 510 atty on an eGo battery 180 F at 15sec
or a dry stock joye 510 atty on a 3.7V high drain battery 285 F at 15sec

(directly on the coil)

and it's really sad that I know that the more I think of it

in my opinion...
high drain batteries in the 10440 format make absolutely no difference...
expecially the fact that they're manufactured by BDL where the specs seem to conflict and have been known for poor QC...

not sure if you're infering that I don't understand the technical number crunching in the electronics...

but ...the stock 510 was too weak for me...the eGo was better...lr atties even better...there was a noticeable difference...noticeable difference moving to non propriatary batteries too and then to high drains... and the further I get away from wanting another cigarette... the more satisfying I find it... so if by learning and understanding batteries and picking and choosing parts I can get more satisfaction and versitility...then so be it

one more question which atty should i use w/ p18 ? 510 or 801 ?

my prefference is for 306 atties actually but that's totally your choice

if you're going to get LR 306s... there are several places that have them but 2 places have the ones that are built by cisco which seem to be a better quality (those 2 places being nhaler and e liquid planet)

Actually- I was just being funny.

If I thought you didn't understand I=V/R or wattage as a part of heat production I'd be giving you a hard time. Which I'm not. I learned that stuff at age 9.

I just think sometimes we get too technical and forget to vape.

Get vaping!

If you are out in the garage with a gallon of e-juice and an arc welder- more power to ya. Using a light bulb socket for an atomizer? I'm with ya. Filled an ultrasonic humidifier with thin PG juice to cloud a room? EXCELLENT!

Personally, I'm a fan of just strapping on a bagpipe hooked up to a car battery and sticking an LR in each pipe. Mad vapes, man.

You just tighten or loosen the cone on the Defender for airflow. That's what makes it better than stock KR batts...that and it lasts 3 times longer.

Just stay away from prefilled cartos at V4L and you could prolly do ok.
