It's called an auto dialer no one has to sell your info. A computer just starts dialing numbers and when you answer your switched to a live person. My wife used to work for Nielsen Ratings about 15 years ago even then they used a computer to dial their phones.

This is how even unlisted phone numbers get sales calls.

not exactly, i work in the call center industry. I have for 11 years. i started off as a lowly telemarketer. the way they get your phone number and credit card number, all your PFI (personal financial information) is from you. filling out forms on the internet, signing up for contest, not clicking or unclicking boxes, not puting a checkmark on a paper form. they have tons of ways to get you. heres one, ever see a car in the mall or at a fair/carnival? fill out the sweepstakes and win a car? well, that is for time shares...there are cars but the only people who get calls are those who are married men (women can be single) and make at least 30 grand a year or higher, if you don't make those requirements they just throw your stuff in the garbage. but if you do meet the requirements you get a call telling you you WON! either a car, or a tv or a vacation! buts its not a vacation (95% win the vaca, 4 win the tv and 1 percent get the car), its really a test run at a time share resort. all from filling out some "demograph" info. ain't it great. anytime you put your info on a piece of paper you run the risk of that company selling it to someone else.

I have used, totally wicked, the electronic cig company, cignot, diy flavor shack, wet your stick e liquid, rocky mountain vapors, vermont vapors, heaven-gifts, nhaler,Juicy liquid, Great lakes vapors and a few others...dont feel like getting up to look through everything. I would think they are all good companies that would not sell my info but it is strange that they called me and tried to sell me their crap. They have taken a new role in trying to sell their trash to people and if they call me again I may flip out.

I've used cignot and RMV from that list. No phone call yet from SE. You can rule them out! =D

I've also given heaven-gifts my info. Just about to click confirm on the order, but didn't want to wait for my stuff. Bought the stuff I wanted from Myfreedomsmokes.

Johnson Creek still has their reputation here too.

Hope this helps, I'd love to get to the bottom of this and find out who sold our info AND why SE is resorting to such disgusting tactics. Isn't telemarketing against the law now? Who are these people, and why are they trying to et these things banned?
