i like the kanger 808D. paid way too much for it in a store (online is half the price) but wouldn't know what i was doing if i hadn't talked to the sales people first anyway. batteries don't last long (5-6 hrs at best for the reg size battery) but that's why i have 2. the ecig my hubby has (idk what kind it is) is bigger and heavier. next week im upgrading alittle by getting the kanger e-smart kit. been using the clearomizers on the 808d and they are great because the tips are threaded and the wicks are long.

so far only used 2 brands of juice... Ms. T's Bakery (flipping great and the best ive tried - tried more than these 2 brands) and rocket fuel. rocket fuel is on the liquidy side since its a PG 80%/VG 20% blend but the flavors are pretty good and will do in a pinch since the store is local.

ive heard of johnsons creek but this is the first negative info.

We all start somewhere, and Blu is about as good as any other. I don't know of many folks that stuck to their first e-cig for very long anyway. I also doubt that the OP will still be using those little 510's for very long, they are just one more step in the search for what a person likes.

I certainly didn't here since the first was a disposable Logic with a sickening sweet vanilla before looking over a few reviews when I first started pricing them! Bloog stood out for having the best price on their starter kits(single 808D 788mm battery auto or manual, led: Blue, Red. None). From there I jumped on the Ego Vamo which at first proved to be overkill and simply put too large and bulky for most to carry on you all the time as well as your former type of chain, medium, or light smoking habit.

Obviously just prior to trying that Logic out I was already a light smoker having cut down quite a bit over the last few years. Tobacco prices going way up along with tax increases helped in the reduction somewhat! That spending too much per carton was a concern as well not seeing the urge that had been to a lesser extent. When shopping around knowing it was time to look at the alternative options Blu along with several other brands were simply too "pricey" while I knew ecigs had progressed to where they are now worth looking at!

I love Blu as they are an excellent introduction to vaping. Like many people, that was the first ecig I tried that actually made me think there could be something to this vaping thing :p
Before that I'd tried Njoy and Mystic disposables about 6 months earlier and they were horrid. The Njoy nearly electrocuted me (battery shorted badly) and the mystic tasted like hell.

I only ever bought 1 Blu for myself before moving on but without it, I'd probably still be smoking. I still buy a couple disposable Blus every once in awhile to hand out to friends and family to try and get them off the cancer sticks.

WIt got you started vaping and to move on to better gear.

I agree completely there.. I started off with a cheap disposable from a service station, and upgraded to a better setup shortly afterwards.

Now my brother has my first pair of Egos, and I'm looking into a good mechanical mod (possibly a Reo).

I will second the notion no less having also had a friend pick up a pair of Logic disposables and simply gave the second away to someone else to finish off before looking over the reviews! Most will immediately start looking for one brand's starter kits when liking a particular brands disposables on the other hand. If depends if you like or dislike what those offer!

Once I got into the Bloog kits making a few nice gifts for those that need to cut down if not quit entirely I ordered the extras like carrying case, plenty of automatic batteries along with plemty of spare blank cartomizers and then they come out with their 650mah manual and clearomizers. Seems to be how things go at times!

The usb passthrough now has plenty of flavors for sure! The 102mm 808S type manual batteries sit in a pen holder with clearomizers attached and the 650 with 4 more clearomizers plus one 65mm automatic sit inside a metal cigarette case with slide opening at the top.The 650 and clearomizers replace the two spare batteries and half dozen cartimizers I initally carried around as you see to the right side in the photo here.

Note you will have to excuse the reflection coming off of the Ego Vamo until I get another new photo soon once a new Ego C-Twist kit and spare clearomizers arrives to add further to the actual collection.

Hopefully you can see how that looked when I was walking around with assembled and the pair inside for spares when first expanding on the selection of flavors.

I started with a blu, and while I find my KGO far more impressive (and its not even anything fancy) I'm still glad I tried the blu. At that time their starter kit was cheaper and came with 5x as many carts as it does now, it came with 5 carts each of all 5 flavors (thats all they had then) so I was able to sample them all..... liked all of them except for the menthol and the cherry (I'm told the cherry it comes with now isnt so cough medicine-y) It helped me to quit smoking and I was done using it before I even used up all my carts that came with it. I did go back to smoking about a year later, but I started vaping again this January, this time around I did my homework and I couldn't be happier! So while I wouldnt go back to blu, blu was an excellent introduction to the vaping world, even if it is overpriced and not super impressive

Blu got me started, and eventually to where I am now. I cant hate them. Plus, their batteries, even though the battery life is not very long at all, ARE 510 connections. If you need them in a pinch, they'll work with the popular tanks and cartos out there. I threw a low res protank on mine the other day for fun. Decent vape, it'd work nicely in a pinch.

And Im still trying to find a vanilla like the Blu Vanilla. I really liked it. Ive found one REALLY good vanilla that I am going crazy over, its better overall than the blu vanilla.. but something about the blu vanilla I enjoyed, and Id like to vape it again on real gear

If I may add a disposable from a gas station by a different brand is what a friend and myself both tried where i had him pick two. Wanting to look into something better oh the spot a passed the second unused ecig onto another person. Then came another brend's starter kit with prefilled catimizers and found they also carried refillable blanks for the next stage in the process.

And finally the looking into various battery sizes and styles as well as various eliquid vendors now still only seeing one main vendor while periodically trying out someone else's when ordering some new hardware(s). Isn't that closely how most start off often a disposable or trying some brand's starter kit before things like variable voltages, tanks, etc.?

Now for the brand of starter kit I starter off with plus later ordering extra batteries both manual and auto I eventually found the need for the 808/901 to 510 adapters. I also discovered the same 510 clearomizers ordered from one supplier were made by the same brand as the 808s! I swapped tanks around to confirm that since they only carried them in one color when finding they were the rebiuldable type.

As for finding exact matches on any particular brand's like Blu's Vanilla you would need to shop around extensively to find a comparitable but not exact match in most cases. Some will see a little more Glycol then others at times as well as varying options for nicotin levels or none as well as how much in some cases Vegetable Glycerin you can have. Some even use distilled water in their mixes. I go through that enough trying to match up other flavors by differing brands at times.:)
