Don't know anything about this model. I use the 510 and the eGo, but I want to get one for my sister for her birthday. I feel like she will like this model better because of the auto batt and the closer similarity to a real cigarette.

Who is a good vendor for this model where I can get a kit and all the accessories I need with the exception of juice?

The only vendor I know of is V4L and that seems to be a re-brand so I imagine the price reflects that.

Thanks

V4L is NOT a rebrand. They are an excellent company for quality of hardware and service, and some people really like their juices. (They have some juices that I cannot live without, and some that I don't like at all...probably like any vendor.)

The higher price may be due to the fact that they have a 45 day warranty (they really do stand behind their products), they have excellent products, but they are on the cutting edge of developing new, or improving existing ones. And they have a HUGE selection, in everything from colors of batteries, cartos and juices.

I got my first order from them on July 6th, (after researching for 2 months) and have been a regular customer ever since. I have branched out into other vendors for juice, but I am really, really glad that I started with V4L...and will continue with them for hardware, and keep trying new juices that they come out with.

They have sales constantly, several times a month (there is a 21% off sale right now, in fact), and I admit that I seldom order if there is not a sale going on...I have learned to plan ahead so I can wait for a sale.)

I am not a spokesperson for V4L, but just wanted to set the record straight (as I see it.) I think a lot of these other companies are riding on V4L's coattails (ie. benefiting from the investments that V4L makes in new developments, and then copying.) If you are comparing similar quality, you will find that V4L is excellent with price and superior in their warranty.

Different topic: Kudos to the OP for supporting your sister in switching from smoking to vaping! Best of luck to you both. :)

KR808d is a great choice for a first time vaper. simplicity, ease of use, and overall look and feel similar to a real cigarette make it a great option in my mind for people just getting into it. most will usually stop caring about it conforming to a cigarette form-factor after a certain amount of time vaping, but to start out and not to feel too outside of one's own "comfort zone" with cigarettes, it's the best bet in my mind. many suppliers offer good KR808 stuff, so i won't suggest any one in particular, it's a very common model. but for someone starting out and looking for something simple and easy who doesn't want to put too much time, effort, thought, or investment into it, go with the KR808d, and as long as you buy from a supplier with a good reputation here on ECF, i wouldn't worry too much about quality or customer service.

I'm going to agree with you here. I've ordered from V4L as well as from another vendor. The stuff I got from V4L is higher quality than the generic Kr8 stuff out there. The generic Kr8 batteries with the two holes and the cut at the top are garbage. I have to draw hard on those things and even then I don't get much vapor nor do they seem to stay charged for long. The V4L batts with the 3 holes are much nicer and the prices really aren't that bad considering, like you said, they always have sales going on.

My only issue with V4L is that they've messed up two out of three or four of my orders. As in not including something I ordered. I'm blaming this on their crappy shopping cart software. They have a ton of options as far as colors, strengths, flavors, sizes, etc. and their software doesn't support all those selections. They make you mark it down in the comments section and it seems like they sometimes miss or overlook that section when filling orders.

The other two vendors that I've heard have similar quality (Vapornine and Bloog) don't seem to have as diverse a selection and their prices are a little higher. If anyone can offer up other vendors that carry the same quality stuff as V4L but at lower prices I'd be interested to hear about them. More vendors the better IMO.

Have you thought about the single use or starter 510 mini pack? They are like $10.00ish and have one or two cartos. I tried one and was sold on e-cigs in minutes.

Disposable Electronic Cigarette

There is another disposable that comes in simple blister packaging with two cartos and a usb charger...can't find it now. Was like $12.00 + shipping.
