Our batteries are perfectly fine. I'm pretty sure its standard for a hub plugged right into the wall to provide much more power than one of those batteries or even through a computer's limited power supply. The vapor is such that I end out having to top off a great deal sooner than I ever do when vaping on a battery.

Well. I love smoke liberation. I bought from greg (great guy) and I recieved my atomizer from smoke liberation and my passthrough. Very sleek looking stuff but it aint pumping out enough vape. The atomizer and the passthrough appear to have a different base for both of them. Perhaps my dse901 is not authentic because greg assures me this is 100% authentic dse901 stuff

Anyway, still aint producing enough vape. But neither did the vaporguys passthrough. Can't wait for my direct powered usb hub tomorrow to truly test it out.

Gregs a great guy. Very helpful and extremely greatful for his customers. I'll be shopping over and over again.

You could buy a couple of these, scattered throughout the house! Same thing, would work well, and not tied to the computer. Find them on the internet, at usbpoweradapter.net for $1.95

John

Even me, the geekiest of all nerds couldn't figure out what that was. It's a very scattered website but I believe that they were adapters to turn any outlet (different products) into a usb powered device correct?

"...geekiest of all nerds..."
I'm not sure what that means?!...but, yes, it is the same as the device originally posted; at least it performs the same functions, with all of the same specifications, distributed from Texas, instead of China! If you google 'USB Power Adapter', you'll see the same website, and more specifics...I'm just not OLD enough to post URLs.

I too use one of these with a 901 passthough. I also use it in the car. I tried one of the Ipod USB car adaptors but it didn't put out enough amperage. So I use this along with a little 100 watt power inverter that plugs into a cigarette lighter (From Walmart I think).
I get to vape like crazy when I am driving too.
Now I just need a passthrough for my 510s.

Still put out more than a computer though right?

Read all of the Trog stuff, and on batteries, too...

All of the devices are (should) be rated at 5 volts, including your USB port. With that voltage applied to your ecig(s), they should all function the same. HOWEVER, most devices will lower available voltage as the 'load' increases...

Your computer power supply, and the number of devices you have hooked to all of your USB port, will determine what 'power' is seen by your ecig.

A 'straight' USB passthrough, ie, USB to wire to ecig, is the LEAST amount of power you will get, because everything else in the computer is 'sharing' the power to all USB. This should be the LEAST desireable configuration.

A self-powered hub, which is a USB hub plugged in to your computer, AND plugged in to the wall as well, provides good power to the ecig. If you plug directly into your computer, than you'd like the passthrough device with the small box and small battery inside it, in-line. That helps provide a more constant power to the ecig.

Any device that plugs into the wall socket directly, and then to the USB connector for the passthrough, will be very stable, where the 'load' will not vary and you should see a very constant 5 volts to the ecig.

If you can get a fairly constant voltage to your ecig, then everything else depends on the individual atm!

My preferences would be:

1. External device, plugged into the wall socket, directly to your ecig passthrough, and the passthrough has the in-line black box with the small battery inside...ideally, the power from the wall keeps the small lithium battery charged, providing a constant voltage to your ecig.

2. A self powered USB hub, where your ecig is being provided power from the hub, not from the computer, and the same passthrough as in #1. This is a second choice, because as you plug more devices into the hub, it will decrease the power to each device, ie, more 'load'.

3. A passthrough device, as in #1, plugged into your computer port... again, hopefully, the small battery in-line will stay charged from the computer.

4.The least desireable configuration would be a straight passthrough device, with no in-line battery, plugged directly into your computer.

I got my self powered usb hub. I think it may be my passthrough because a battery kicks out about 60% more vape. It was directly connected to the wall with no usb involved and still barely anything

Gonna try the wall plugs that I ordered. I find it weird because sunshyn said that she was getting more than a battery.

The dealextreme wallplug I bought came dead on arrival.
Anybody that bought the plug does it actually work?

I bought 4. The first one I pulled out of the package works fine. I haven't had a chance to check out the other three yet.

I bought two for myself and two for my husband. If I find any duds I'll give them to him. :D
