I used to smoke a pack and a half, maybe two a day (hard to tell since I rolled them myself) , and when I switched, I went for a 12 mg, because it said "medium" next to it so I thought.... let's not kill ourselves with an overdose shall we?
But now, I'm more or less chain-vaping, which defeats the purpose. I also have no idea how many ml I smoke a day, I'd say I smoke a little more than two of those tanks that are included in the ego-c pack. But I'm not sure how much they hold lol.... i'll google that but it won't answer my question: i know at what point i start getting headaches and dizziness, but i'm afraid with a bit of practice, I might push the treshold and start being able to take more nic without feeling sick, if that makes sense. So before that happens, is there a way for me to know how much ml of 12 mg juice is normal or average for a 1m70 skinny girl? I bet that question is asked a lot and i apologize for my noobishness but i'm worried about upping my nicotine intake inadvertently until I'm a nic-junkie with 70%nic/30%blood in her veins lol...........

Those tiny tanks hold about 1ml of juice (if not a tad less).

I seriously doubt 12mg/ml will get you anywhere near dizzy sometimes soon.

Vape as much as you feel you need too without worries.

My poor calculus skills goes like that:

Say you smoked cigs that were 12mg nic content (says so on the package, its content per cigs, not per packs) so now to achieve the ingestion of the same amount of nic as one of those cigs, you would need to vape 1ml of e-juice that is 12mg/ml.

Granted, the method of delivery to your system being different and people having diff. methabolisms can vary but rest assured that at 12mg/ml,you are safe as can be.

You got to be more carefull starting at 24mg/ml.

I myself always have 18 and 24 mg/ml (as well as a range below and between both as I also do DIY)...if busy,I vape 24....if not,I get down.

Pack and a half to two packs a day, RYO, I'd definitely be looking at at least 18 mg/ml, and more likely 24 mg/ml. I was a PAD smoker, Camel straights then Marlboro reds, vaped 24 mg/ml, 3 ml/day, for the first 8 months, with a little 30 and 36 early on at special craving points (like when I first woke up).

Don't cut yourself short on the nic, especially early on. You're already detoxing from the other garbage in cigs.

On the 18, or especially 24, you should be able to vape more like smoking, meaning a handful of good puffs then put it away for at least a little bit. If you find something you really want to chain-vape, just because you really love the flavor, that's when to use a lower nic. For instance, when I vaped 24 mg/ml, for chain vaping at work I used 12 - 16 mg/ml, but that was a conscious choice.

I smoked very strong analogs- 1- 1 1/2 PAD...so strong if anyone ran out they would go without rather than smoke mine :D I began on 36 mg nic and after 3 months went down to 30...within 6 months I was down to 18 mg. Realize that vaping is a very inefficient nicotine delivery system because the vapor molecules are too large to be absorbed into the blood stream via the lungs. Most vape nicotine is absorbed by way of the blood vessels in the mouth and nasal passages. Nicotine particles delivered via smoke/ analogs are small enuff to enter the bloodstream via the lungs. Most of my converts (over 300) began at 18 or 24 mg. Remember though it is very normal to chain vape for the first month or so. When I first started I was vaping 50+ml juice per week. Now down to 2 mg X 15 ml per week.

i'll try the 18, but I'm liking the chain-vaping, well it's probably due to starting directly with AIV juices (I did my research before ordering ^^ ) and I'm mainly on lemon loves cake and cupcake city, I have zombie apocalypse and white rabbit incoming, still in 12 and I'm thinking.... now I have to order 18mg of all of this instead? lol, I have a lot of juice..... but i'll still order an 18mg bottle for those days when I just CAN'T chain vape (yeah, I'm a stay at home mom, but I still have stuff to do lol) ... I'm enjoying it though :D yum yum yum. And I don't have a craving for analogs either, people keep saying "congratulations" on my intro post, at first I was like....what did I do? oh yeah they must mean for quitting smoking, but it really doesn't feel like quitting, i've quit before, with patches, gums, cold turkey, you name it, and this has really nothing in common with that... it feels like smoking, but guilt-free....... maybe that's why I vape so much, because I know it won't kill me lol..... i'm sure it'll settle down in time!

If you're not suffering from withdrawal pangs then I'd suggest you stay at 12 mg. I just recently converted 1 PAD smoker and he vapes 0/ zero nic juice. He's been analog free for 6 weeks now and is doing great and never had any need for nic in his juice.

Ok that's awesome..... I would never have dared going the 0mg road, ever, I was afraid of the cravings! I just thought 12 would be enough and apparently there might be a placebo effect too. Which is pretty interesting...

It was a first for me. I've found people smoke for various reasons. He obviously enjoyed the hand to mouth action. Myself I like the hand to mouth but also really need the TH/ throat hit and lung hit that comes from the nicotine.

I think we agree on this :p I don't even see myself "quitting vaping" anytime soon, I don't feel guilty, I don't feel like i'm affecting anybody's health with it, and probably not even mine, it's delicious (I'm going to say that a lot) , in the long run it might start costing less than analogs but i don't even care about that anymore because I don't feel like I'm throwing the money out the window anymore, i mean CUPCAKES lol.... It feels nice. You know that feeling when you have recovered your sense of smell and taste and are feeling healthier than you've felt in a long while, after quitting, and you're at the beach or something, smelling the wind, and think "I could really go for a cigarette right now", and then you remember "heh..... but then i wouldn't enjoy this scenery as much because I'd lose my sense of smell....." ? well that will never happen to me again. Next time I'm at the beach, I will vape, and enjoy the best of both worlds :D

Posted awhile ago I was going to quit in the New Year. Didn't quit and it's no big deal to me. Maybe 1 day I will quit, maybe not, but I know I will NEVER smoke another analog. Last week I had to go out of town overnite- forgot my PV Kit and it was no big deal...sure ate a lot though

yeah , judging from the chain-vaping, I probably started with a too low dose of nicotine, but, since i've been vaping for almost 15 days now..... wouldn't it be counter-productive to start going to 18? It'd probably save me money on juice though, if I could just take a few puffs here and there... mhhh ponder, ponder.....

No, I don't think it would be counter productive. As long as you don't get any harsh side effects from the upped nicotine content, you're fine. What some people here have already pointed out, it's not only the lack of nicotine, rather, that and the lack of the other chemicals in the combustibles. I started at 16 mg, went down to 8 too soon, I felt, went back to 16, dared to vape a 24 mg once (that got me nice and light headed), and I'm settled at 16 mg.
I notice that if I'm using a higher strength liquid, I vape less, but a lower strength liquid, more. That's just me, though...you may have a different experience.

Doesn't it feel good not getting those crazy cravings any more? I'm certainly happy :)

Anyway, how most of the good folk here on ECF feel, is that regardless the nic strength, as long as you're feeling okay vaping it, it's a good thing that you aren't smoking combustibles. Every one not smoked is a victory in itself!
