Ok so I want to build a dual atty mod running at each atty @ 3.7v with only one switch/button to activate both. Im pretty much a newb to mod building as I have only built one simple 2AA Box mod previously. I plan to use 14500 batts as they are what I have on hand, but I need a little assistance on how to wire this thing up. I have read through some older posts in here about doing a 1 batt to 1 atty setup running though a specialized switch that will allow batt 1 to power atty 1 and batt 2 to power atty 2. I dont care about putting in LEDs or anything else at this point. I just want to get something working. Can anyone help me out with whether this perposed wiring idea will work or not and if so, what kind of switch I need?

You would need a double pole pushbutton switch to activate the atomizers but there are not that many like that out there that are small. I would suggest using a regular pushbutton switch with a small double pole relay. That might do the trick. Each atomizer gets it's own circuit that way. You can run the relay off of one battery and and led off of the other if you wish. I can draw you up a circuit later tonight if you like one since I'll be on the road for a while here in a bit.

Edit... You can also separate them with a couple of diodes but they must be able to handle a couple of amps. You will lose about .6 volts per leg though. No matter which way you go you will lose some voltage.

one really nice switch SPST, N.O., rated 3 amps or so could switch one circuit using parallel attys/cartos and parallel 14500 (or any other reasonable source).
If the attys/cartos have equal resistance (within 10% of each other) then twice the current would be drawn from twice the available current. Minimizing components wastes less of the energy stored in the batteries.
Parallel 3.7 cells is still 3.7.

Pretty simple. You can also use just one atty at a time.

Note the batteries can go in either up or down (as shown) as a pair. The atties don't care.
