Double Barrel Coil build on Kayfun Lite

First attempt to double barreling my kfl lite. 10wrap 30ga 5/64th got it at exactly 1ohm!

My Provari wouldn't accept that coil's resistance, but it's a nice build! I just installed a 14 wrap 28ga coil on my kayfun that I wound on a 1.83mm rod and it came out to 1.64 ohms. I was trying for an even 2 ohms but what the heck, it vapes just fine at 3.4v (7 watts).

Rip Trippers did a nice video withg a dual coil on a kayfun arranged just like that. That is a kayfun or a Russian, isn't it?

Nice job! Did you have any trouble getting two 30ga wires secured tightly under the screws?

Here's another double barrel I built last night to change the wick. KFLite hit at exactly 1ohm on a poldi 18350. 30ga 10wrap. Didn't have a problem fitting the coils.

If I may suggest, for your next build orientate your coils 90degrees to what they are now. Far easier to mount, plus you no longer have a coil diameter restriction and no worries about coil leads touching unintentionally

Last time I tried a double on my KFL+ it was a very warm vape. Might have to try again.

I've been experimenting with my "Double Barrel" coils in the Kayfun. I have been trying to increase the resistance for use with my VW devices. I went from 20g to 18g to 1.3mm........

This one is........

30g - 12 wraps - 2mm - 1.2ohms - Rayon







I'm running at 20W and it still heats up very quickly, I can still get a satisfying pull in 2 seconds from cold.

Plenty of vapour and flavour, but it's cooler and a lot less harsh than my original 20g (diameter) 0.7 ohm build.

No noticeable difference in the air flow...........
