i'm using vtc4's as of now I've just switched from a mech mod to the e-mech and was wondering if I could use a higher mah rated battery for longevity and still get the same performance out of it. I know most higher mah batts have lower amp rating but everzon is stating the emech has a 7 amp limit if that's the case wouldn't 10 amp rated batts still be safe even sub ohming on this device?

I use a purple efest 3100mah in my dna30 clone now and it has a 20amp limit. Check them out.

Efest IMR 18650 battery 20A purple efest 18650 3100mah 3.7V rechargeable battery -Efest battery for E-cigs

    No it doesn't!
    Max discharge current 20A
    Quick discharge current 2000mA
That's just a BS way of saying the same thing twice.
That means it has a 20a pulse rating, so it's probably a 10a battery.

    For the OP:
Just make sure that it is at least a 10a continuous draw rating.
My personal preference is to not exceed 50% of the continuous draw rating.
